So Matt O what kind of mileage did you get this past weekend?
I got a wopping 11 MPG coming back from Tenn. last wednesday.
Diesel is killing me, can't go riding without spending $200.00 on fuel.

FYI, I got 12 pulling my empty gooseneck to Bham today and 9 pulling back the mighty Sammy.

That is a 2007 Duramax

Man I got 10 pulling mine to WindRock cruise set right at 70mph. It is killing me also, I am only getting 13-14 empty. I was talking to to Keith today and his 07 5.9 dually is getting 19mpg empty and 14mpg pulling two rigs on a 32ft goose. I just don't understand it, we have the same truck.

Probably lying is what I would guess.

Diesel mileage is the biggest lie since **** size in high school.......

Dang Matt I hate to hear that. Granted yours will get better once the motor gets broken in some more.
I got 13mpg pulling my trailer empty last week goin 70mpg. I don't understand how it makes that big of a difference, I can't even tell its back there.

Damn John that really sucks.

Why did you pull a trailer? You should have just tossed it in the bed of the truck.

Or, you can save fuel by buying a lighter trailer like this: laughing laughing

I got 7.5, same as to Tellico. 6.0 and heavy foot.

new truck difference in price between a 6.0 gas and 5.9 diesel pays for alot of fuel ;D ;D ;D

05 Dodge 4X4 5.9 automatic 15 MPG unloaded around 11 loaded with 132,000 miles. I know it seems funny but I get better Fuel mileage around town than interstate unloaded ( I get about 50 more miles to a tank around town driving). Could use another gear on the top side for the Interstate. My boss has 07 with the bigger Diesel (think 6.8) with the six speed automatic and it gets better mileage. I think he gets like 18 unloaded.

I drove mine to Memphrica the other day, hit the Cruise on 75 and it got right at 19 mpg. I added the 34' gooseneck and it dripped to 12 going the same speed

As for you Mr Quirin......you better be nice of I will post video of this thing making your Jeep look silly in Clayton :spin:

Get spare shafts for the rear axle Nolen... that thing is an axle eater with the hoppy hop bounce bounce suspension. thumb.gif

Its a fun lil rig and it goes alot of places it shouldnt laughing

Heres a sad picture... ( with my wifes ass LOL )

Bad thing about it Duramax will out pull the Cummings. Coming back from Wooly's Sat night I had my Jeep behind the Dodge and my buddy had 32' Gooseneck with two rigs both of them equal weight as mine and we started side by side at the bottom of a long hill and he pulled me by a truck and trailer at the top. He does have free flowing exhaust and Banks six gun and he was set on three and I am stock. I have never drove a Cummings with any mods so dint know if they wake up allot better with mods.

I'm getting 16 around town empty and 13.6 towing the taco with a 21' trailer. I get 14.6 towing my 21' Triton bass boat. The only mod I have is no muffler, other than that bone stock with 285's. 2005 Chevy Duramax 4x4.

I don't think Keith would lie about the mileage, Big Lunch has an older CTD and is getting about the same. They both have programmers. Keith's rig actually has 1k less miles than me, but he did break in his rig within 2 weeks of buying it by pulling two to Moab and back. And you guys are right, the truck I sold Joe has way more balls than my Dodge and it will outpull it all day long. All it had was a intake and exhaust, but it has way more power than my Dodge. Then again you are talking about a V8 vs and I6 ;D With fuel prices climbing, I kinda regret buying this truck. I have heard the whole break in factor, but damn I don't really buy that considering how many miles I have on mine (14.5k). I am getting about 400 miles out of a 34 gallon tank and that hurts.

Here I am pissed cuz I got 30 on my bike this morning when I filled up. I was hard on the throttle around town this past week though. usually mid to upper 30's pepper.gif

I get between 19-20mpg on my '02 D-max with no trailer.
My Featherlite & buggy I get 12mpg.

Depending on the programmer it may be fooling the computer in the truck. I had an Edge w/attitude in my 2003 Duramax and it made my truck computer mileage 25 percent off. Tell him to check it manually.

Yo Matt....were the 06' Cummins the same motor? I need to check but I've got a few Bullydog Dog downloaders leftover from my dealer days and I know one is a 06' Cummins with the "Outlook Monitor". If it'll work for yours it'll be dirt cheap and it's brand new never opened or molested....maybe dryhumped a couple times but nothing major.
