Ok--lets set the date in stone

Febuary the 4th. Thats a sunday and for now lets make it at the monroe alphy's. I was also thinking woodinville might be a better location but lets here input...

Anywhere works for me, and i have no plans on sunday so really any time too

I like the idea of wheelin reiter then goin to monroe alfys on the way home. Not sure if I can make the hammers(afford it) but would like to know more so I may hang out at the meeting.

since my rig is in devopment right now, even if i had it done for the trip, i still wouldnt feel comfortable taking it to the hammerz. But what i do have is a plenty capable tow rig to go down there. so if anyone who has a rig that can make the hammerz pm me. we can split the fuel and driving 50/50.

ill be at the meeting also

yeah i say we go wheeling and then meet at alfys i'm flying to the event to watch but i was looking for a winch bitch seat when i made it definetly going to the meeting might be my buddies b-day present from me

Um Mike Feb 4 is the superbowl so um I am not sure what time but unless it is early morning I will be drinking most all day and not driving anywhere on the 4th.

Then how about monday evening the 5th? I don't really care about the superbowl :D

Mikey.....

I know that 'we' need to discuss what its going to be like, what to expect, who "should" go and who "should leave their rig at home"....

but we also need to set a date.....people that are really "in" gotta start getting the time off and planning for this, as its coming up pretty fast...

a poll, or just a discussion here, a few phone calls, and I think we could come to a consensus about when.....and leave the rest of the what/who/how for later and as it gets closer...

my $.02

wELL the Tin Benders Jambo starts like April the 27th(i think) so I was figuring trying to get there like 3-4 days before that..

I will do this, sit down tonight and put some dates up and we can go from there since I can't get to POR from here at work to double check the jambo dates.

Nor do i mike nor do i

I guess my going is dependent on the dates that are set, so once you have dates i will let you know if i am even able to go

Hmmm...are you going to try and do the drive during the day or maybe an overnight drive so you can setup camp during the day when you get there...what is it like 18 hours? maybe leave like Sunday the 22nd and get there on the 23rd...that gives you 2 full days of wheeling before people start getting there on Thurs.

It took up like 28ish hours to get there. we drove straight thru with like a 4 hour nap (left like at 4am) and got there early afternoon.

That don't seem right...I drove to san felipe baja in 24 hours a couple years ago with a truck/trailer...Oh plus 4 from where your at I guess...still seems like it shouldn't take that long

We just cruized down 5...skirted around the traffic in LA by going through palm springs...isnt JV just N of palm springs a little bit? Actually just south of Barstow on 247

I just remember going down I-5 and then east around backersfield and then it was a zig zag south...

The hammers arent that bad. You get alot more body damage than breakage. My trucks been through it a numer of times. I'm wondering why the long trip, Why not the rubicon or hollister hills OHV. Their closer and IMO hollister is the best park in cali. Also the duecy urshem (spelling) trail is great if you want a 4 day trail ride. :D

hmmmm!!! i'd have to say that the hammers or dusy ershim are the best trails just my $.02. dusy if you like to camp and fish as well as wheel.

anyhow you guy's should have a good time pack worn it's cold as hell in the valley and i can only imagine how cold the high desert is.

5 south, 46 east, 99 south, @ Bakersfield take 58 southeast, @ Barstow 247 south then east and your there! (It's the damn 5 south part that gets ya :haha:)

JV's in or just north of Victorville... you can take 5 south till SAC and then in SAC hook up with 99. just make sure when you get into sac pay attention to the signs.
