Re:

Risk assessment.

If you crash bad and get knocked out because you aren't wearing HANS etc, I guarantee it would take longer to emergency exit

No doubt that Richie has more and better safety gear than most all of us, but I'm a bit leery of those wings on that side of the seat. A roll on his left side like in the video and it looks to be difficult to exit through the passenger side with them and the shifter/ shift tunnel, etc. Not dogging it at all, but it would be like pushing a basketball through a garden hose if I was to try and get out quickly, maybe time for me to look into Jenny Craig's program?

I cut back on my pics of grilling and chilling, that alone should have you down 10 pounds. :woody: :woody:

You don't need to take your helmet or neck restraint off to exit the car, just unlatch harnesses and get the hell out!

So he isn't latched in to the seat and all he would have to do is pop his 5 points out? Like i said I'm new to the Hans/safety thing hell i didnt have harnesses in my jeep until recently.

Correct the only thing holding one to the car is the harness, the HNR device has two quick releases that attach to the helmet, then your shoulder harnesses are just strapped over it on each side

Correct. Here are a few pictures of Rockwells607 and I strapped in with NecksGen's. They sit on our shoulders and are tethered to the helmet. The NecksGen is not attached to the seat or car in any way. They are held in place and use the shoulder belts as an anchor to work off from. You almost can't see them on our shoulders. Just unlatch your harnesses and GTFO! If I take my helmet off the NecksGen comes off with it and just hangs from the helmet.

i have a question. Plowboy is wearing all his safety stuff in this video and to me it looks like if he were to roll and the buggy caught fire for whatever reason it would take him some time to get unlatched on everything. Am i wrong or am i missing something? I haven't ever worn this much safety gear but then again i'm doing the stuff he does. I remember when Hillbilly Delux went up in flames and it happened within 5-10 seconds tops could Richie get out in that amount of time?

No gloves, and no visor.
You cant unbuckle when your hands are on fire, or see if your face is on fire.

Depends on the H&N being used for how well you can ingress/egress the car and the seat. And then practice it, and practice it. Not a joke, the older/fatter/more outta shape, the harder. Unbuckling upside down for fat guys is ****ing near impossible.

I used to have a few problems on on getting out of my shoulder harnesses on my old H&N (Leatt) the wings were a little tall, once switching to the Necksgen there is zero hindrance once I pop the latch on the 5-point belts.
