Hey Brandon!! We had a blast an definitely look forward to riding with you and Grant again. March 6,7,8 at stoney lonesome. Mark your calendar.

Some residual effects of the Hardline Ride in Harlan.

Not 100% sure how I did this since I have a manual trans my right hand is not usually on the steering wheel. Plus, I have no clue why my thumb was under the wheel either. Anyway, finally broke down and went to Doc and ended up having ripped the tendons in my thumb as well as a nerve. I have no feeling in my thumb at all and my hand still hurts over a week later. Going back at the end of the week to see if surgery will be needed. Moral of the story: don't make a stupid mistake like me and put your thumb in the wheel. I can't recall the name of the hill this happened on, but I know I was past the "obstacle" part when it happened. I apparently relaxed and got careless and the orbital thought it was time for a wake up call.

I was worried you had fractured something.....might have been better off if you did. Healing from tendons and nerve damage is no joke. I wish you the best and pray that no surgery is needed. Hell, you get extra man points for continuing to drive in that condition.

Not sure about the man points......To be honest, had I been closer to home and not spent so much money in gas getting to Harlan, I would have left it hurt so bad. The most painful part was Saturday morning having my wife wrap my hand so we could wheel that day. And props to her for operating the twin sticks on Saturday!!!

JohnG.....may have to look into that steering wheel if I can't keep my thumbs where they need to be. I had never seen one of those wheels before.

You will probably never put your thumb inside a wheel again. :fish:

I had a great time. The rain wasn't a big problem and made the trails more fun. I keep a rain suit in my jeep for my wife and I. I just hate we couldn't do Mason Jar.

Why no Mason Jar? Too busy? We ran Mason Jar and Lions Den on Friday. Had both of them all to ourselves.

Matth_85 and myself waited 1.5- 2 hours to start Mason Jar Saturday. There was a group in front us of winching the whole way. Luckily we were able to get around them. Took plenty of throttle but no cable.

Re:

There were vehicles upside down at the beginning of Mason Jar and a line of twenty ahead of us give or take three. I am glad we skipped out on Mason Jar because I did not own the vehicle I was driving, but might have after attempting said trail.
