Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 8-10

Re: Hardline November Ride

I'd vote for Monteagle (1st) and Windrock (2nd). That's just one OLD guy's experiance talking. The other two places are farther away, smaller, and flatter. However, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Re: Hardline November Ride

We voted last night to ride Windrock, I will start working out some places to stay and prices for the trip. Gonna be sweet!!!!

Re: Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 16-18

How would movng this ride up one weekend work for everyone? Instead of November 15-17, it would be November 8-10.

Re: Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 16-18

I dont plan that far in advance for anything. Has 0 impact on me , I know Dollar and some other folks schedule work and such pretty far out so those are the folks ( that dont post either ) we'd need to get with .

Re: Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 16-18

Hey Dollar if you check this let me know if the weekend before works with your schedule

Re: Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 16-18

Not a problem for me. You might consider lodging in Oak Ridge. Oliver Springs is like Chelsea minus the residential development.

Re: Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 16-18

Just checked the boards tonight and 11/8-11/10 should work for me, just got to move some vacation around.

Re: Hardline Crawlers @ WindRock, November 16-18

Nov 8-10th it is, I know it is a long way off but go ahead and mark you calendars and take off if you need to

Captn Carl is planning this trip! ;D To anybody that has been there before, are there multiple entrances to the park? How far is Oak Ridge from the park? Will we have to tow to the park from the hotel each day, or is it short enough to drive the rigs on the street there? If you have any info/recommendations that can be useful to Captn Carl please post them up...

It's been a coupla years so I'm sure it's changed but there used to be plenty of parking for
tow rigs and trailers at the park. We stayed in Oak Ridge and the park is actually in Oliver
Springs. We drove back and forth with no problems, it's about seven miles best I can remember.
The road is good and being the weekend the traffic wasn't a problem. I guess what I'm saying
is either way will not be a problem.
I may have to miss this one, the new dates conflict with work, oh well.

Started doing some reach and just curious to see who all is planning on going. I know it is a wile out but I am trying to set up lodging as cheep as possible. There might be a cabin we can get into at the Indian Creek resort. I tried to call but go no answer... It looks like we have to get permits to ride. The cost of the permits is $15 dollars a day. We can get them on line or it looks like just about every place up there sells them. Where ever we stay there should be plenty of trailer parking. I will continue to work on it and any advice would be appreciated.

Got in touch with the Indian creek people. They have two apartments with kitchens pots pans and what not. I reserved both of them so we can decide what we want to do. one sleeps 6 and one sleeps 5. I also got them to hold one RV spot incase John wanted to bring his RV. We need to let them know a month out if we are not going to stay there. rates are $150 per night and $40 a night for RV. Look at it and let me know what you think. 1/8 of a mile from park, 15 mins from oak ridge.

You know I am in, not sure on a passenger at this point...

Cheap is good, as long as we all have a bed I could care less. There seems to be an abundance of cheap lodging up there.....

I need everyone to look at the place I have found to stay. Need some feed back on indian creek. If we don't want to stay there than I need to try to book some where else soon.

With what I have on hold room wise we can sleep 11 for $150. I also have an RV spot on hold that is $40 a night incase John wanted to bring his RV.

Cool, is it 11 single/bunk type beds or queen beds? I know that several of us plan on brining our wives to this one, I have to since it is our anniversary :fish: Anyways, find out if these are double beds and what kind of privacy is involved since the ladies will be present. Do you have pics or specs on these places?
