Little Gibby's 45 MB

Just an observation...but aren't those spring plates spacing the u-bolts pretty far apart from the spring packs?

I usually like mine sandwiching the spring packs and helping keep them from twisting on the perches.

They might even be a 1 3/4" spring pack. I don't know how long they'll last. VERY stiff but they'll have to do for a while.

I would be more concerned with crushing the driver side perch then anything else.

Once the perch crushes it will loose all grip and break center pins. (in my experience)

It will be fine.

Tom there is a drastic difference between this rig and yours..

It will be fine.... I don't think those springs will be on the rig but a year before they turn out too stiff or break. No sense in changing the perch configuration for something thats more than likely down the road going to be changed..

Are you ready for me to order the bell housing?

yes yes yes--last piece of the puzzle then most of the metal work can be finished and it can go home for the paint work.. Plus with the motor in it I can have the steering "somewhat" working...

That is sacrilegious to weld to that tie rod... Sheesh man at least make a tube clamp, hell on my yota stuff I bought one but on this setup I built one took almost half an hour so I'm sure your perfectionist ass could do it in a couple hours. :flipoff:

Why--My method works perfect. Has for many years(7)..

Simple things change and sometimes mounting the ram where it is works for now but won't later when something else changes. It's much nicer to pull some bolts to change where it is mounted vs grinding and rewelding. That and you just welded onto a bling bling polished tie rod you heathen! :flipoff:

Aren't you worried about getting **** in that ram with it uncapped like that during the mock up.

I think he is sabotaging your rig. How else can you explain the three year build:redneck:

Crash, Fedex brought you a present today.

You mean this one :redneck:

Man now I am excited and I am back into my game finally--the funk is gone. So I have to do a little reading to do over the next few days (hoping to get the rig moved back over next weds/thurs) to get the clutch stuff figured out (slave/master) and will be full awn rolling again...
