I was wondering who the hell the top 2 guys were and I find out they are the land owner and the course designer!

WTF is that al about? I am pissed and I dont have a dog in the hunt.

WTF!!! Is that for real? Thats total BS! You run a course enough you know it and know where you can make time, and where you need to take time. WOW. The Weavers need to nip that in the bud.

What can the Weavers do? They dont live out there. Me, I would DQ the fuggers.

Out of the top 10, only Shirley and Bonney are not from the area. I understand the rest got some if not a lot of track time.

I can find out the real scoop next week when I go see JT.

And if you think that the only reason Clint and Ray placed high is because they pre-ran then you're wrong... They both have been consistent and fast for years. Clint didn't run last year but he was consistent in 06. Ray was FAST last year and faster this year. Fact that they bomb that place all the time is an advantage but that's Ray's land why wouldn't you run it? The actual course is changed and coned off by the weaver/todd and rest of crew the week prior to tech inspection. Don't know or really care about the details on the others... JT finished 14th and he's local. Hell last year (or maybe year before) Lovell's won XRRA springs and had only run that 1 race all season--what's that say? They are locals. Anybody can win... Doesnt matter how much you race it's about being quick and consistent. As you saw, Shirley coulda pulled top 3 but instead **** happened and he ended up squeakin in the top 10--just because of a throttle cable mechanical problem.

**** YO COUCH!!!!! :flipoff1:

Not trying to discount the fact that they could very well have pre-ran the course... I'm just saying don't get awn a jump-to conclusions mat. And you may have already spoken with someone that knows the truths behind it but I'm tryin to open your eyes that these guys have been around, although not neccesarily in the limelight.

I am with Rob, it is racing. Anything can happen and just because someone is local and does run the place does not guarantee a front finish. And my understanding is the Weavers create the "course" the week of. Hell we have even seen them change the course mid race. Of course the local guy does have an advantage when he has ridden the trails as much as they get to, but no guarantee.

Same thing could happen at Gray Rock or any other event location. Plus, the locals always have an upper hand if it is their home park.

Just looked over the top 10. I think locality is mainly a coincedence, all those dudes are fast... Colorado Springs has the highest local concentration of rock racers in the country.

Kinda like saying an Anniston local NASCAR driver pre-ran the left turns at 'dega so that's not fair to the others teams out of Mooresville. :flipoff1:

THe bottom line here is that if you ain't first, you're last. The phrase is trademarked Ricky Bobby, Inc.

In the past no one has been able to prerun the courses that Weavers build at the other sites. Colorado Springs is an awesome site and a great location. The property is privately owned and the track is one of the best out there. Made by a racer or two, not by some guy on a dozer. These tracks must be on private property so XRRA can charge admittance. Weavers dont make money we dont race! The problem with that is the oppritunity is there for locals to get alot of seat time on that a track. I would if I could, not saying its proper, but there is no way to police it either. Mabey we need to have an open day for practice and tuning on friday after tech in the AM. Which drags the event out one more day and people may break before the race even starts. We dont need that. Hometown boys did have an advantage at the Springs, proof is in the numbers. Right or wrong it was a great place to race.
