Manastash meadows up by the rocks.

Yeah, Hi, I'm a PNW4WDA member. I'm not an "old Coot" by any means. We always were taught to leave the area as if we had never been there.
PNW4WDA also built those trails to fit smaller more narrow rigs of the 60's and70's. Everyone knows you shouldn't take a big rig through some of our trails and "off" the trails, people don't seem to care. There will always be renegades, I hope to catch you in the act.
I am curious as to how many bigger, wider or even Buggy owners are members of the PNW4WDA- I know of just a few- they are responsible, involved owners.
The solution is to be more involved. If you want to wheel your favorite area- do something to keep it open.

You can get invovled without getting into the PNW.

Just ask DNR how invovled WOW has been.:corn:
Every area is different too.

The pnw has and will express its non support of non jeep/ non jeep sized vehicles.

i think you missed my POINT boonie........has nothing to do with how someone parents taught them to do whatever...this has always been problem of people doin whatever they want.

I know what your point is, i'm just stirring the pot. :D I know it's been a problem. It sucks that people have the "i will do what ever i want, it's just the forest" mentality. It only ruins it for the rest of us that use the areas regularly.

Still waiting for the pic's. Hopefully they will show soon.

I may also put together a work party to repair the issues. Stay tuned!!
It would be nice to have the info sent over to ORV Trail Watch too for those who are not on this forum.

I'm a buggy owner. After being a PNW member for many years my dues were not accepted one year due to PNW politics. I don't hold a grudge but have not tried to reinitiate with the PNW since.

A lot of the members of WOW have had the PNW turn their backs on them...

And yes, the numbers speak for themselves...

Man I am so sick and F-ing tired of the bashing...you know, we are all here for the same reasons and knocking each others' group down doesn't do us as a whole any good!!! I know WOW and the PNW has worked together on a few projects, and have not heard any bad from it... If I had the $$$ I'd join and support EVERY group that supports our cause, but I am not made of $$$, so I chose the largest group there is... And FYI, if you or anyone else haven't noticed, there's a slot for Fords and Chevys in PNW's site for those that wheel 'em...probably the only reason there's no buggy section is no-one requested it... I'd just like to see for once no bashing...:booo:

I'll start out by saying I am a old coot and your saying that the PNW built all the trails at naches? I don't think so but I could be wrong.
Any size rig can run those trails without going off them if you know how to drive and care about what you are doing.
You also make it sound like everyone with a buggy is the problem. No wonder you don't get any new younger people wanting to join the PNW your stuck in the 60s and 70s in your thinking about off road rigs IMO.

Nope not saying that at all. Just saying they (my parents) helped the PNW build some, alot of those trails(I had Elbe in mind) back in the day. They built it for jeep use back then.
I think you make a great point about driving skills- everyone has to start somewhere, do you think these pics are about driving skills? It only takes one idiot to ruin it for the rest.
I don't happen to think Buggy's are the problem. I happen to think they are incredible pieces of equipment and I know a few buggy owners. I'm pretty sure in looking at what I wrote I did not point a finger that way-nor would I. We all enjoy the same offroading. Simply saying if you enjoy your sport and want to continue driving on your favorite trails- get involved- you don't have to join the PNW- just do something
As for the last jab, I think that's a pretty big assumption for someone you dont know. I kind of enjoyed your posts and pics on this site, thought you were a cool dude :eeek:

Fight among ourselves while everything goes away because no one can agree. These threads always turn into this bullshit.

Agreed, we as a group are arguing and fighting AMONGST OURSELVES over the actions of IDIOTS. the idiots are making us argue. Awesome!

This wasn't meant to bash you or the PNW I know your group does alot to keep are trail systems open. Hell pokey is the one I learned from in my early wheelin days. It just seems that if you have a buggy in the eyes of a lot of the older group of folks your looked at as someone who just whats to tear everything up.
I plan on wheelin for along time to come So I know that people ripping **** up has to stop.
