More Cougar ....

That is what I am talking about... I need the yoke that bolts to the 8.8 rear axle, and will use a 1310 / 1330 conversion joint to convert to my existing driveline ... but I think I am going to need to get it shortened anyways... wont know until the 8.8 is swapped in...

What u-joints do you have now? Sploders used both the 1310 and 1330 series joints.

91-94's that I've dealt with had 1310 joints. The book lists them as 1330s, but in my experience, that was the 95 and later ones. Info in case you go the salvage yard route.

So I got the control valve issue taken car of, so I should be able to get it aligned this week now...

What a pain in the ass. A little problem with the pitman arm / control valve stud turned a 45 minute project into a 5 hour project...

And then since I already had the jack and air compressor out, I decided it would be a good time to throw wheel spacers, and new tires and wheels on

I have found the rangers and exploders to have 1330 joints or whatever the metric POS joint is in the rears on the 8.8 flanges.

I did however find that the mazda extracabs (ford ranger clones) with a two piece rear shaft have a 1310 yoke that will bolt right to the flange on the 8.8

It's got 3 holes in it. How many did you expect?

(That's the weld-on version. If you wanted the bolt on version it costs more) (Who the hell sold you that? You'd think that whomever put it in a box woulda/coulda known better)

Yeah, new one is on the way. I called the guy where i ordered it, told him I just ordered an 8.8 yoke, and he said.... "let me guess, you need one with holes in it..."

Turns out I didn't get the only one from Spicer like this...
