more reiter trail mapping

:eeek: so is nothing going on up at reiter????:eeek:

All is quiet right now. Permits are in place, but DNR needs to make the next move. They went out to bid for the parking lot and that ended on the 1st. I haven't heard any updates on that.
I have worked in the trail log and turned that into David. Work has got in the way of Reiter for the last couple weeks, but next week lets hope that we can make some foward progress

Just out of curiosity, were did the RFP's get posted? I keep a pretty good eye on many of the "normal" bid reports but never saw that one go out... but then there are ALOT of reporting sites out there.

Wonder how over-engineered they made what really only needs to be a bulldozed area with a few feet thick of compacted rip-rap and 1-1/4 gravel. And maybe a little drainage or drainage-ditch accommodations for excess run-off and settling.

Not that the "old" parking lot had any of that nor did it "destroy" the world.....

As far as the parking lot bid, it was under 35K so it is a small works contract and they didn't have to advertise

As far as the parking lot. Well if you are in construction, then you know how serface water is taking over the world. What was good last month will not fly this month. But it isn't bad as far as design

No new updates, so I will pester today and see what I can find out

:eeek: Any updates after the DNR FOCUS group hug???? I'M just tired of the On and on stuff !!! If the DNR needs our help...Just quit dragging there feet!!!!!!and start getting some stuff DONE!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

It looks like they will be starting constuction on some of the single track this spring/summer. It also looks like they don't know when exactly the 4x4 trails will start construction as they don't have the design of the trails complete yet.
Probably won't start 4x4 construction until 2013.
