Re: MOROC Toyota build...

I understand what yer sayin now.. ya looks like it since there's no core support no mo...

Was outta town this weekend, helped a friend buy a cherry 87 4Runner in great bend for $1500  It'd go 3k on craigslist in KC all day long. Brand new motor, a friend of mine rebuilt the motor and then the guy changed his mind on keeping the truck 4k miles later. $900 in parts/machinework on the motor, aftermarket head/cam on it. Ryan really scored... clean/straight/tiny amt of bubble paint from rust but not bad at all. Spotless interior. Then visited the pepper.gif this weekend, can send pics on phone kelly thumb.gif :drinkers:

Got back to KC tonight and tossed the doubler in. This week gotta get the rear suspension(just brackets/shackles burnt)/driveshafts/radiator/seats all squared away. Might toss Matt some $$ to have him **** with the seat mounting during the day while im at work since I'm limited on time.. All for now...

Re: MOROC Toyota build...

Last night Rob and ryan and others got it all wrapped up...or should I say this morning. His voice was haggard was **** when he called tonight. He worked on it all night, loaded up, chugged another monster and went wheelin all day. I helped on the seats and some other small ****. We need to get some pics of that thang in action. thumb.gif

Re: MOROC Toyota build...

KELLY-- I owe you many a more boobie pics you were a huge help, THANK YOU!

Man that night was nutty. WOW. Didn't grab a camera before we left--left straight from the shop to go wheelin....

Here it is loaded up and ready to go!

It did awesome, only thing that kept me from an obstacle were those shitty Xterrains, but those are borrowed from my dad so no worries there...

Re: MOROC Toyota build...

Lookin' good man. Now that you have a rig the video will suffer though!! Wheelin' > editing laughing1

Looks good Rob. KSrocks improving any? still the same size?

Honestly that was the first trip that I've enjoyed at KS Rocks.. Every other time I've been pretty bored. The ice made easy stuff hard and medium stuff impossible. It was bad ass.

Rig needs shocks bad, orderin some piggy bilsteins for the front right now and also some hood pins, that redneck engineered ratchet strap has gotta go so my elec. fan can stick there.. Oh and the exhaust is ridiculous, I need to get that bang'd out.

The reason the truck was leanin to passenger side in those pics is because of the pass leaf pack without clamps spread itself out, I have the round ubolts instead of square ones, so they stretched and loosened up... it was last minute at o'reilley's. I'm gettin the right ones as well as building some clamps for the springs so they don't separate...

Talked to Travis a bit at frostbite and I think I'll be ordering some 17" inner airlocks for the tire/wheel setup when I toss the 1 tons under this bishhh... The inner airlock/H2 setup will be the most affordable and lightest way to go... I just need to get the monies allocated that direction... too many irons in the fire!!! Just bought the 35" xterrains off my dad for cheap to get me by for now, I'll get my money back outta em.

May just run this setup until summer when the nights are long and I can work at my house to do the truggy/1tons, I tend to do better working over here... Kelly understands my situation...

... Just got an email today. The 42" IROKs have shipped :drinkers:

Get em on at least the rear of the truck w/ 14 bolt this weekend loller.gif

badass! now we need that 60 of yours down here to blueprint it for building a speedy and blingy sheet metal truss. I need to mock it in first to see where the airs are going to go, and where the links are going to go so we can get the sheet metal cut right the first tiem.

I can bring it down this weekend. I am gonna swap in the 14 bolt this weekend as well... that way that part is outta the way and it'll still be mobile.

are you just cleaning it up or shaving the **** out of it? I have some 1/4" covers that will cut to the full bottom cut style. weld some 3/8" plate back in and tap, make the cover fit thumb.gif
