My 321 Build

Scott... laughing1 you got away with words my man ! I second you on the "Foam ****"

Make a dimple **** bracket for your poly one so its not so "ugly" :woot:

That's what I will do guys, do I need to get one with the low sump in it or just a regular flat bottom? Is there any certain 15 gallon Poly you would go with. I will make a nice bracket for either......

Mahan has one in his rig and we have had to retig the welds in it twice :****: . We put isolators under this time hoping for a fix but if breaks again we will be going to a plastic tank .

I have that exact tank.....it cracked this weekend in Harlan, not a bad crack...just seeping, but it is still leaking....

Paul, you have a PM BTW

Go with a flat bottom one if possible and invest in that top mounted high dollar in tank fuel pump. I have the JAZ cell with the low pick up and on side hills and a low tank, it would run out. I have since converted that cell to what I run today. (enter Julio telling you to go stink gas instead :flipoff1: ) I now have the top mounted unit and tank baffled. Good to go :dblthumb:

Mine is a custom tank with a catch can in the bottom and "X" braced to take fuel to the catch can. But, when you are out of gas, you are OUT.

Mine has a bottom sump, and has a bunch of baffles and trap doors. When it runs out you are done. Never had an issue with it starving for fuel on inclines. With all the internal traps it is slow to fill, but works well

Still waiting on the engine, machine shop still has it. And also waiting on the sheet metal guy to see if he will have time to do my interior.

I got my black poly fuel cell in today. Seats should be here this week. Some say remove the foam from the fuel cell. What is everyone doing? Also talked to Jimmy at EOR and the engine might be done this week. loller.gif

Don,t leave it in , unless you wanna TAKE APART EVERYTHING FROMTHE HEADS UP & PICK THAT **** OUTTA EVERYTHING.........

ALSO SEE.........................MY RIGS RUNNIN LIKE **** AND WE CAN,T FIGURE OUT WHY??

FOAM = :ban: :gtfo: :****:

i run foam
i also run
3 damn fuel filters
and the foam burned up one of my fuel pumps

YEA MAN.........iv,e seen that foam crap get through 2 filters'' just as tiny little specs ''......but STILL enough to cause problems!

I mean ,the foam is SAFETY based anyway , like how an aluminum or steel tank has baffles or chambers ,so when you take it out youre fuel is gonna SLOSH around like crazy,

and if you have a BAD enough crash and BUST the tank apart, the foam is supposed to keep all the fuel SOMEWHAT in one BLOB AS IT FLYS THROUGH THE AIR

I have heard that NASCAR runs some kind of plastic bladder in their cells, that supposedly even if the cell GETS RUPTURED...........the bladder will not... :dunno:

I ran a 16 gallon plastic cell ,with the pickup in the back, & NO FOAM, in my zuki ,and never had any problems with it ,for 5 years.

Yeah the bladder thing is the same thing they are looking at doing for KOH. Not cheap and if you have a custom tank then you need a custom bladder also. Supposed to the be the safest if the cell was ruptured.

My Corbeau SS all black vinyl seats came in today. Can't wait to bolt them in .... Wife loves the seats...
