came in and looked around.

Don't see much progress right now:fawkdancesmiley:

Ow ya this most be a union shop:kissmyass::stirpot:

Hay Bill can I take your tires and wheels out for a spin since your never going to wheel it agian :stirpot::kissmyass::fawkdancesmiley:

Hey Mike, I still need your address to send you some $$.... You havent pm'ed it to me yet. :;

Sorry bill--been a busy week with trying to get things ready for the wife to leave..... In any case I am still poking along and still making progress but out of parts...

hey crash i got the power steering bracket i had parts set up for you but i have gotten flaked off three friggen times now fa####s anyways when i was up last you were going to give me another list but forgot about it i have one more guy he is suppose to call me friday after work so hopefully i can get them parts unless otherwise thanks.

I will take what ya gots....

Ok--time to play catch up. With getting stuff done so the wife can leave for japan and her there things have been slow for me but I have been poking forward slowly..

So I took the origional backet the old pumps were on and cut it down and mounted the ARB compressor. I also got it fully wired and was able to use one of the old hoses that made for a perfect fit. So once I get a new battery I can tear it apart and fully finish it up.

I also threw the passenger side together. Hopefully I should not have any issues to where I have to tear it apart again,lol..

boosted70.jpg

I went and put in the winch control switch. Its in the same spot mine has been for years--its a perfect fit. One pain in the butt with the first gens is how the metal portion of the dash is built--makes it tricky to mount ****...

boosted71.jpg

I ended up pulling the cluster out for a couple reasons. First to secure the new portion of the wiring harness. One thing you need to be carefull with around the column area--alot of sharp edges for wires to chafe thru on. the second was to modify the cluster wiring. Instead of adding another lamp for the check engine light I opted to do what I did with mine. I figured since the brake lamp is no longer used and has a fused power sourch to the lamp I deiced to use that for the ses lamp. Should work like a champ.

boosted72.jpg

I got the front cross member done for ya bill. I ended up just buzzing some beads and throwing some paint on it--that should work perfectly.

boosted73.jpg

I did some work with the fuel system (got a start) and also found a problem with your front/rear brake line that I will have to fix. But I will get back into that here later.

But next thing to take care of was the cross member that was temp. in place with U-bolts.

So first thing was to remove that heavy bastard, lol (its either heavy or I am just finaly feeling old).

boosted74.jpg

Since it has dual cases the stock mounts are too far forward.

boosted75.jpg

So out came the plasma and I started to make smoke---smooooke lol and off came the stock mounts.
One thing thats always amazed me about these toy frames and you would think we would have more issues with them. That is the amount of undercutting there is on the welds. If you look at the picture you can see the undercutting that was from the bracket--just odd.

boosted76.jpg

And a start on the new mounts. All I have to do is build a few gussets and finish welding and the crossmember is ready to go back on.

boosted77.jpg

Ok time for some updates. I have been working hard this past week to try and hurry and get this thing done--so we can go out and beat on it to make sure it will be ready to ship east.

But here is the finished t-case mounts on the frame

boosted78.jpg

boosted79.jpg

And the mount bolted up (still have to get bolts)

boosted80.jpg

SO next I decided to dig into the fuel system. I finally found a good place on the frame rail behind the stock cross member (near the back of the cab). The only down side to this is you have to knock a hole thru the cross member for the fuel lines to pass thru--but its a good cubby hole for it to sit.

boosted81.jpg

And of course with any frame rail mounted fuel pump--you NEED a pre filter. Just be carefull and don't go with too fine of one as you can easily starve the fuel system. I always prefer to use a paper style filter like the one I used.

boosted82.jpg

SO next I mapped out the location of the fuel lines and main battery feed.. I typicly use 2 different methods for running my main power feed and that depends on how its routed. In this case I went with 2/0 welding cable due to the fact its fine stranded which makes it very pliable. For the cable routing I chose to follow the route that the stock fuel lines on the cab followed for 2 reasons. First being the frame rail will be full with the hard lines and second there are already studs on the bottom of the cab and it runs right where I need it.

But here is the cable coming down off the main junction--you can also see a porting of the new brake line.

boosted83.jpg

Here are fuel lines at the motor side. (I will be using the style of adapter the goes on the stock fuel filter). One thing to always try to use--barbed fittings on your high pressure lines.

boosted84.jpg

Here you can see the power cable down the cab and fuel/brake lines down the frame rail.

boosted87.jpg

Here you can see where the fuel lines go thru the hole I made in the cross member

boosted88.jpg

ANd the fuel pump all plumbed and wired.. I also lopped a hole on the top of the cross member for the power cable to come thru.

boosted89.jpg

And the positive/negative cables up thru the tool box.

New hardline to the rear brake hose..

And the cables at the battery

One thing I opted to also do---I went and ripped all the wiring from the pump back and re-did it. There were portions that dove in/out of the frame and exposed wires at the back of the rig--so I redid it..

boosted91.jpg

boosted93.jpg

When bill had dropped off the rig he had the trail gear 1.5 hydro assist ram--I talked him into going with the 2" so this came in this last week..
boosted95.jpg

hey crash frankie here sorry i havent been buy i have been pretty buissy the past month i am planning on bringing you the parts i got this coming up week. and bill said to go ahead and throw the rock assult housing in and use the brakes and axles from his old rearend and as i will be taking the housing.
