are you putting a tj cowl on it?

i got the center section cut down to match the hood tonight....not sure if im gonna roll a piece of sheet metal for the outside edges or get the actual tj corners

did i mention how much i hate doing sheetmetal work with no brake or shear??? it sucks :puke:

decided to hand roll the cowl instead of hunting for a TJ cowl to smash. all the fab work is done, tearing it down this week to add gussets and final welding. Then it will be painted and put back together headed for exhaust and driveshafts

switch panel came in , sure will make wiring a lot easier thumb.gif

Chassis will be painted by the weekend and start going back together

I'm worried for both of those rear link brackets, chassis end. The lowers are a lever that is trying to rip the side out of the tube, the uppers are the same to a certain degree. Look at some woodlee brackets, they are an arm that goes from 1 tube to another so there is no torsional force on the tube, or they go in a tube intersection (node) so it bears evenly. I'd like to see both of them tied into another tube to take the lever factor away.
Looks sharp and your finish work own me. I never have patience for skins and interior thumb.gif

Does that switch panel come with the wires on it already like in the picture above or is that something that you added to it? I looked at the website and all they show is pics from the front. If it comes like that already they will be getting a call from me very soon cuz that's a hell of a deal.

it comes read to wire up, it made my wiring super simple. one big hot wire to the battery and then you are ready to tie into the relay or whatever you are running

thats a good point . i did box them in since the pic and added gussets to the bar so it would flex, but it wouldnt hurt to add a bar/brace directly to the link to transfer the torsional load. thanks for the advice

45lbs at idle, no leaks .......have two big problems that i can see.

lomax 205 driver side rail wont shift without prying it, pass side feels like its only catching one gear :dunno:

and i can only steer to the right? the response steering to the right is instant but has nothing to the left :wtflol:
