Non-Newbie Run 2008

Me and stan discussed this after loading up-- The low clearance didn't help but his wider chassis really hampered him...

yeh daam puny lil tires def. hung me up, as for as chassis width I am at 56" wide at the widest point (B piller), what are most people running there chassis at???

Just FYI...you really do need bigger than 37's to run the OM.

Stan fought it hard with his and made it through but a little more clearance would have made a huge difference.

I dont know how many times that I was just barely hung up and had to winch it over, thankfully I had dual batteries and was able to keep the rig going even with the alternator unhooked.

Stan...........you nailed the hat trick, LOW,WIDE and D.O.T.'s = FAIL:flipoff:

Sorry bro.....but thats a bad combo for the OM....

a moon buggy ran with us up there last week and even though he didn't get too far due to random mechanical failure..."we" all agreed that it would be a mighty task for him to complete the trail due to how LOW(belly)the overall car sits. Now that SUPER HOMO went through and cut the stumps out it would be easier....but still a battle I think.

I"m 42" wide at the widest point of the chassis with 77" OD on the tires

Jeff, Low and DOT's I can change if I want to down the road, the width well its not gonna change :redneck: but its still a hella lot more fun then the old rig:cheer: and I would still run the OM again:D Hell if it was easy it would be no fun :masturbanana[1]:

Yep, the chassis is twisted. Nothing pics could show but it IS NOT straight. I just shortened one of the lower links and lengthened the other and am calling it good. :redneck:

Damn....... Were you hurtin the next day?
