Seriously though, wouldn't it need to be every weekend until it dries out?
Ceg said:This is one of the trails to the road.
It was such a mess we were not for sure what was the main trail and what were the by passes. All the ways through had ruts that 33s couldn't make it. (Edit: As in the 33s were not tall enough to get the rigs through the deep mud holes.)
Comet said:I have suggested this before. Clubs adopt trails all the time. Why doesn't some club take up watch on Memorial Day weekend and hand out flyers informing people in camp not to go through the meadows. Then next to the meadows, set up a table, offer free coffee, flyers and tell people that lic. plates and pics will be taken and reported if they go through there. A couple, three years of that and people will GET IT!
Therefore, having a club "watch" an area would be a good idea, I am glad that you agree.Trailtoy1993 said:I am sure there were a hundred rigs at the rocks, but not one person could go out and confront the people doing the damage

I just really fires me up and pisses me off that e have to do that rather than individuals stepping up and speaking up at the moment that bad things are happening. Its like "Hey, that girl over there is getting robbed and raped, hope the police get here soon to do something!" Same difference. I believe the example I used is a crime punishable by law called "depraved indiffrence", whereas if you are witness to a crime and they can prove that you could have done something to stop it, you are charged with a crime as well. I think we should hold ourselves to the same standard, if we witness destruction of the environment an do nothing to stop it, we we are no better than them and should be fined/charged/drawn and quartered as well.
That thing that babies suck on? :flipoff: hehehe, sorry, RvB joke... :corn:TB-F said:pasavists beware:clappy:

Dude, do you even know me? I don't need to defend my contributions to saving and protecting and growing wheeling opportunities to very many people on this board, but apparently you're new. I haven't wheeled in over 3 years, yet each year I give of hundreds of hours and contribute several hundred dollars to causes supporting wheeling opportunities in this state and elsewhere. I arrange face to face meetings with political and land managment leaders to discuss import issues. I help coordinate trail clean ups, and partrols just like I'm recommending. I could go on and on, but my question to you is what have you done lately to help out? Just because I have a good idea doesn't mean you **** all over the message to make a point. I happen to agree with your intent, but you're barking up the wrong tree. So, why don't YOU and your buddies that actually wheel do it...or anyone? Who's going to step up? I want to hear from people that normally sit on the sidelines and wait for others to act.Trailtoy1993 said:This is a bullshit cop out! This is the attitude that lets this **** go on! "Oh I don't want to say anything myself, but somebody should...." I am sure there were a hundred rigs at the rocks, but not one person could go out and confront the people doing the damage and say "I would like to continue wheeling here and I would hope that you would too, so please stop destroying the area so it does not get shut down, and ask your friends to do the same thing" All it takes is one person with some sack to make a difference, not a club or anything else, just speak up when you see someone doing wrong and you make a difference!
Likewise, you don't know us. Brad, Ben, Chad, Brent, Chris, Kyle, Cody, myself and everyone else who has come here from WATTORA have very strong trail ethics. There hasn't been a SINGLE run that we haven't trucked out garbage that wasn't ours. We spend countless hours at cleanups and meetings, driving halfway across the state to be the ONLY 4x4 people at the early Naches environmental plan meetings (where were you?), taking evidence and confronting people who are misbehaving, doing everything we can to promote and preserve the sport.Comet said:Dude, do you even know me?

We all enjoy this. Let's not bitch at eachother, let's help and do a good job doing it.
