PBB and CRAWL?

I will throw in my two cents for what its worth. CRAWL is a company that has jumped in feet first to produce a Magazine that real wheelers will read and enjoy. They are a small company stepping up to a big task and there is going to be some growing pains. When we get the Magazines they are quality and the apparently keep up entertained or their wouldn't be any fuss over the late mag. If my Four Wheeler mag showed up late I wouldn't even notice.

Now after talking with Ricky he is happy to work for CRAWL magazine and if he wasn't he could quit. I don't think he signed a contract. I will support any one in business that is trying as they are. I feel their pain every day. They are out taking picks and making the scenes to events then their business is slacking at the office. If they at the office then there are no stories to write, and office picks would suck.

When I concentrate on just shop work then my office work gets behind and when I am in the office then the shop gets behind. it is a mix and I constantly struggle with it.

They are looking at ways to cure the problem they are having just like I am but it takes time. Give em some slack they are bustin the asses and putting out quality work.

I just feel their pain.

Well said.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as disappointed in late mags as anyone, but I know that the guys at the office are doing everything possible dealing with all the problems so they can get those mags out to us. It'll get better, I have faith.

Adam I think the issue that every one has are the lies and the general attitude of Tim. I am a business person and I do not want or wish to see anyone fail if they put their heart into it. You do not keep and attract new customers with poor business practices. Adam you are known to be a very honest and polite person, I know that to be a fact as I have been around you and talked one on one with you in person and on the phone. You tell the facts and do not try to cover up shortcomings with lies on top of lies. If you did you would not have the respect of people in this sport that you have. I put my support behind people that are honest with me, if they are not you cannot trust them.

This is the Feb issue we are talking about right? Wasn't there something about another issue to follow right after it? Tommorrow is April 1st and from what I can tell nobody has recieved a issue of CRAWL in their mailbox yet.

I understand the things you talk about Joel. I am not aware of his attitude because I have not read any thing on pirate about the situation. I do know from talking to him personally that he is getting just as many lies and such from the other end he is working with. When you get those lies and pass them on then you become the liar. How he handles it makes who you are. To me it is not what happens but how it is handled and it sounds like this is where you guys are mad. He should not have a attitude for some thing he can't control. Just be up front with he public and let them know whats up.

its got to be hard being a fairly new magazine, i know its hard to get loyal customers when your an up and coming small business. hopefully we can stand behind tim and help make his mag successful. Crawl is about the best off-road mag i have ever received. I don't know much about the the crap going on on pirate but maybe there just being childish, not to say we are't sometimes

I can say from experience that if you are being lied to , and then passing them on to others it makes you into a liar. It is very easy to get defensive when this happens because you are not lying. You are passing on the info you got.

I am just going to say I will stay as far away from the drama as I can and enjoy the mag when they get it all straightened out. No one can say the mag is not top notch so lets support it if we can. They are trying hard and I think they will make every thing right in the end.

I tried to help Tim out today with a contact in publishing that could help him a ton.

He is not open to help.

Funny.

fuggem...

they are now the resident clowns...people will still read the rag, b/c its the best of its kind, but that doesn't mean that 90% of the readers couldn't care less if they lived forever or drowned in the lake next door...

this whole debacle has become a laughing stock, who's is gonna show first game.....
