Random Thoughts

Re:

Things I'm sick of today...

People doing 20mph below speed limit in fast lane.

Parents that name thier kids overly complicated mutated names.

Helpless grown ass adults

The nimrod birds that try to fight themselves in their own reflection on my car.

The parenting or the husband part gets easier? Still ****ing waiting. Thank God I don't have any known kids.

Making hard decisions for your kids that will help them in the long run gets easier. Sometimes it hurts like hell at first, but it gets better

Hell....I drive by my old high school and there's a lot nicer cars in the parking lots than when I was there. Alot of em are modded pretty good!

Must be just "hard working kids" unlike my 28-30hr a week working lazy self at 16.

Mine is almost 2.
He doesn't really make "choices" for himself yet so there isn't much to deal with (I don't think?)

I'm gonna need some examples of what y'all are talkin about.

I worked 40-60 hr weeks in a sock mill in high school (graduated in 2005), also worked several 70+ hour weeks, which I think may have been illegal while still in high school LOL. Me and two of my buddies worked there, we were making bank for high schoolers. 4 10's mon-thurs from 2pm-12am, and a lot of time we would come in again at 2pm on Fridays after school (on work release - leave school early) and pull 16 hours and leave the following morning at 6am. Come back in at 2 and do it again Saturday night. If they had the orders, we worked all we could to afford toys. By the time I was 19, I had a nice 97 F-150 lariat extended cab 4x4, Honda CRF250R motocross bike bought new in '04, snorkeled Honda Rubicon atv bought new in '04, and a 97 Honda CBR900RR that I bought from Chad. I have pictures with all of it lined up in the driveway of my parents' house with the girl I was dating at the time sitting on my fourwheeler hahaha I thought I had it all. :JRich:

Re: Random Thoughts

Well...you're a harder worker than me then. I was out nailing cheerleader ***** when I wasn't working or installing sub boxes for side green. 8) :P :-*

Re: Random Thoughts

Then some dude borrowed some money from his mom and went and bought a full show truck with 4 15s and 4 power 1000s..... one of the first walled off camper mini trucks in Lenoir City.

Rich folk always beatin me :'(

Not playing iPad for 3 hrs a day.
Not allowing your kid to go to someone's house because the family is not the best folks.
Teaching them that we the parents make the rules, not "so and so's dad".
Punishing them for doing or not doing something you told them to do or not do.

The husband thing is pretty easy. Your wife wants to be loved, so figure out how she feels loved and do it for her. Wether she deserves it or not, and eventually she will give you the respect you want. All that leads to a pretty awesome relationship and on top of that all the :cougar: you want.

Ah, Yeah I understand the IPad thing... He's not interested in watching TV because he can't control it, but he'll wear out some Ipad games and Youtube.
Of course he's small enough that he only gets electronics when we hand it to him, and it's still pretty easy to distract him away from it.

Sure does make the first 2 hours of a 3 hour car ride to my parents house a lot more peaceful. By then he's ready to run and play :woot:

Re:

Why would you marry a crazy woman? It's like buying a 6.0 Ford that you know is gonna blow up in your face and cost you a lot of money.

Re: Random Thoughts

My child is a few months away from 4 and he doesn't play on phones or tablets. He also knows that if he cries or complains about anything Dad will hurt his feelings in a hurry. Sometimes he may need to cry a bit, and I understand that, but on of the first things a child learns is the art of manipulation, and I am not putting up with it
