I haven't read it all (lot's a boring reading) but in Layman's terms.......ORV user's have now officially received the environmental go ahead, green light to build Reiter Foothills Forest ORV Park.

I'll post snip-its and quotes that are extra informative and interesting.........Please, feel free to do the same.

Happy day's.....:clappy: Now all we need is a cash money hand-out.........or even better, we should all start getting ready to volunteer time and money. The first large $$$ task will be building the parking lot and facilities.

The next 2 big steps:

1. Finishing the Restoration work (volunteers needed)

2. Organizing and collecting resources to build our new parking lot. (this is months and months away, though)

C. Marking and clearing a walkable 4x4 trail system is in there somewhere as well.

This is a very good thing :awesomework: Happy day for motorized users in Snohomish county :cheer:

I guess others can come us it as well when it's back open with all new trails

Yep. Read the entire article:awesomework: I was happy with a lot of what it had to say...which surprised me:eeek:

So those trails we will get back than is that correct

No.....

I will define "trails" as a section that is 4x4 necessary. There will be NO, NON, ZERO old trails incorporated into the new trail design. A few "roads" (as defined as "2WD") might be used as a way to route 4x4er's from one "trail" to another; or area to another.

Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
Everything will be new.
:redneck:

The map looks like a good start, I didnt think we would be keeping all the trails next to the power lines.

Only question would be how are they going to be linked together? road travel?

I just scanned through the article a couple times and see no mention or Reiter reopening. Maybe its the lack of sleep but I still don't see definite answer from the DNR saying it will reopen.

Nobody knows at this point. We currently don't have a trail plan much less a approved and finalized plan. Until we get to that point nobody knows what the actual trails will be or where...This is a step in the right direction though.:awesomework:

The only trails that we as Reiter locals wheeled, that are also on the map and a part of the Motorized Use Area; are Rhinoland and the Rock Garden. The Rock Garden will be logged (so I hear) and the rocks will be placed in an order and pattern the new trail design calls for. I forsee this as being our 1st "rock course trail". I suppose Rhinoland could be the only trail to actually be incorporated. But the routing would be changed in places.......I don't consider that "the old trail". Again......everything will be new.

And all the "roads" on the map (left and right of Deer Creek lettering) are just that.........roads. Atleast, I don't consider them trails by any stretch.

Everything that we as 4x4er's consider fun, challenging and the reason for being there.........will be new.....:beatdeadhorse:

The routing from area 1 to area 2 is TBD.........

I understand the next steps and will volunteer to help in getting this done. So we don't have hard evidence that Reiter will reopen? DNR has not published a letter or something for the public that states Reiter will reopen?

I can argue semantics.......where would you like to start?:hi:
