Renovation of a YJ

Few pics of little progress! :haha:
some bracing between the tow points on rear bumper & frame...
Few pics of the front bumpstop mounts....didn't take into acct the position on the frame where the mounts were goin' on, but a small chunk of 1/2" round stock did the trick! (whew!:haha:)...should be just the ticket for the angle...
The rear gear pattern looks ok...and un-benounced to me when I pulled the cover to check it out and get the new/used cover on (thanks Bunk!!!), it's got a spool, not a welded carrier!!! :cheer:(Jim later informed me the PO said it was a spool!:redneck:...that or I didn't remember him telling me! :haha:)...

I guess the spool explains the high spline count on the axles....

Sweetness. Looking good!:cool:

the 30 spl axles are stockers for mid/late 70's era....but you knew that, right?:fawkdancesmiley: Thanks Andy! :haha: :D

Few pics of the finished bumpstops...didn't get any yet of them in action...gonna have to make a little pocket for the fronts as I missed the sweet spot by about 1/2" or so (too deep! :redneck:)...simple fix, and will also take care of another small concern with the shock mounts at the axle end up front :awesomework: ......the rears are tits on tho! :;

Actually, the body lift will come off when we put the other body on - it is under the tarp in the background.

Been workin' on getting the winch mounted---tried to make one of those universal winch plates look....well....not so universal!! :haha: Turned out pretty good I think. Just need to get the winch wired, and the rope on it. Thanks again to Master Pull for the :bling: !!! :D

Don't know why the 2nd pic wigged out :eeek:...they were cell pics as my camera was up at the house.

you are going to open that hole up a bit more behind the 'bling' right?? from the picture it is looking a bit restrictive....
