Rich, it was good to meet and wheel with ya today. Glad you had a good time even despite having to leave a little early. Next time you're up you'll have to check out the wall trail area and hike out to the overlook, great view from up there.

Glad you took some pics cause I forgot my camera at home. :)

Speaking of pics... I saw Don taking some throughout the day... hurry up and post 'em Don.

On a less positive note... I think I've toasted the gears in my front-end... they seemed to get louder and louder today while we were driving around on the dirt roads and such at high speeds with the hubs locked in. :( Figures, when I did the setup I used my special D44 setup bearings, but when I put the permanent bearings on, things changed a bit and I had a little less preload than I would've liked on the carrier bearings and the backlash went all to hell. Should've fixed it then... oh well. :(

Don't feel bad matt--I didn't get home till around 7 after needing to head back up due to broken stuff...

Having that headache had to have made the ride home VERY LONG!!!!I m glad you had fun Rich. Good to see you get out and play.

NO, having that headache & airing back up at the staging area, w/ all the bikes / atv's --- BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I wanted to pull out the gun and start target pratice early.... but figured, it wasn't no ones fault but my own... I still actually have a mild one yet! and then I get out onto the main hyway 2 and it's fawking bumper to BUMPER all the way into Monroe................

from there it wasn't too bad the rest of the way home. All I could think about, was a ford 8.8 & a rear locker w/ selectable up front. yup. still thinking about right now!

----------------------- I will bring lot's of IMATREX next time though!

I think them powerlines like me......... I had fun, and it only gets better from here on out! :Good:

You did pretty darn good for being open front and rear too, only two tugs. I think you should find a used lunchbox locker for the D35 and throw it in. Carry some spare shafts and gear oil and the tools to change one out, and you'd be golden until you can get an 8.8 under there.

Liked whoever was in the cherokees that wern't realy all that gnarly givin' er' hell through some tough lines, way to go:cheer:

Thanks :clappy:

Today was super fun. let the little brother drive for most of the time so he can get some more experience behind the wheel, I think he did pretty well. Everything was pretty much a breeze with the uber dry conditions up there. It was nice to finally meet ya rich and you owe me for the tugs and spotting :redneck:

The real fun began when a small group of us hit BYS. I'll let Glen tell that part :haha:

thanks, nice to meet ya too!

It was a fun day and nice to finally meet ya rich. But damn was it ever a dust bowl out there.... Thought I was over in eastern Washington.

Three words. BYS. We had a kick ass day up until Mary decided we had to run that trail....... :duck:

Although it wasn't the trail's fault... We were doing just fine until I managed to rip the right front spring hanger off the frame, which took a piece of the frame with it........... But that's not the bad part, it's the series of fawk ups that happened in the 45 minutes following :haha:

We decided to drive it out without any repairs. That was a good decision. The bad part was trying to take a little shortcut through the trees back onto the trail. That's when I wedged it between two trees, lost a bead, and broke something on both right side axles (hubs or a stub, don't know yet), resulting in two wheel drive... LEFT wheel drive :haha: So after fawking around for awhile to get the heep unwedged and the tire re-seated, the trip out was uh kinda slow.........

A big thank you to Scott (boxboy), Jonathan (XJonathon) and his little brother for sticking it out with us, and especially to crash for turning around and HAULING ASS back up to help out (he was getting ready to load up). It's good to have people you can count on when the **** gets a little deep

Good to finally meet you Rich, sorry to hear about the killer head ache, I was wondering where you'd dissapeared to.

I think it only took me like 15 minutes from the main parking area to the head of BYS and then 5 minutes to the goal post's :D :D :D

I know it's really not funny & all, but it is! :haha:

Goal Post's... now, that was Original...

Thats actually what we call them. I can't fit going straight through them. I have to climb one tree and flatten my fender to get through.

Sorry to Kim to had to "dukes of hazzard" style it getting in my Jeep 1/2 the day. You were getting pretty good at it though, you should try it on a regular basis with your car. :redneck: If I can't get my door hinge fixed w/ a "gentle" touch with a RBFH, anybody got a spare?

Tony, thanks for dinner. Once again, I owe you lots 'o cookies. :;

btw: Pics Don! :hi:
