All this talk about copying buggies got me thinking. If you were going to copy someones buggy who's would it be and why.
I would probably copy Nolen Bash Buggy and just add a V8 and Auto. I have always liked how simple it was.
Another one I would really like to have is any Shannon Campbells moonbuggy with the LS1, damn that thing is badass.
So which one would you guys copy?

I I like Wyatts ALOT. Why? Because it's awesome?

My next choice would probably be Darryl Jones' rig. I love the lines. It's low, wide, just plain mean looking.

I cant remember the drivers name, but few years back there was a TC comp rig that fell in love with... it even had a Jeep grille on it

x2 on that. I was drool over all of the footage you have of it on Crawling is for Babies. That is probably my favorite rig.

ricky, if you copied wyatt's, you would be copying a copy :flipoff1:
Beat me too it. Mine is a very close knock off of a Jason Paule Twisted Custom Chassis, and guy named Rick Schmaus (sp?) built mine. His actually done a a fair bit of them in the past 3 years.

Mine needs to be about 6-8" longer. My wb is only 100", thats too short.

If I were going to knock off a chassis, it would be a South Dakota style build. I don't care for the Campbell style, S&N Fab, and barely tolerate the Shaeffers buggy's.
Timmie's is a good choice, as I'd like to see it with 60's and smaller wb, and height. And alot of the stuff coming out of TN is sick lately.

Anyone follow the Tinycar build? I love rolled tube.

I like the orange Jeep Woodley did. Very low to the ground and a lot of belly clearance. Looks almost like it has no running gear.

If I were doing another 2 seater, I would have gotten Randy to build it. That Bash Buggy was unbelievable.

Did you see the 500HP one he just finished with the Portaltech axles? Sick buggy....the axles are dog-**** IMO, but the buggy is insane.

This buggy with Spider 9's would be my 2 seater rig of choice.

It is over at Fab School (Where Randy is a Sr insructor) getting KOH legal.

If those **** axles hold up he will do great in KOH in this rig.

That "Rusty Bray meets Shannon Campbell" buggy is the current object of my lust. I also like the single seater durable high horsepower rigs, like Tim's Ol Pink. With sticky tires I can't think of a place it couldn't go in any condition.

Why are the axles garbage Nolen? Just the portal box issues? That is a real nice piece of work

That build took about 10 months longer due to those Portal Tech axles. They never had parts when needed blah, blah, blah....

Now, every time they take it out and test it, they break them. The **** pot D44 alxe shafts are being replaced with some sort of CV right now.

I have predicted all along these axles would not work in that high HP application. I hope they prove me wrong and it works like a champ for them.

On a different note, I trail rode once with Weston Blackie with him in his old Campbell single seat LS1 rig. He was miserable, we wer miserable.

Those things are tits for a 5 minute XXRA race, but horrid for anything else. He has a new 2 seater that he is debuting at KOH that I have seen some spy shots of that will drop you. He built two of them in 3 weeks. One to pre-run, one to race. 8) 8) 8)

oooooooooooooooofffffffff drool

Lovin that... I like the latest lil side by sides Shannon C has been doing too sexy lil machines all of them
