A nice internal cage, TIG welded is very time consuming. No one wants weld splatter on the windshiled, or interior. Bending and notching with 1/16" or less gap takes time. I know Brian was screwed by a guy that did a horrible cage. I don't cut corners.
Rough Estimate:
6, 20' sticks of 1 3/4" DOM, 1/4" plare, hardware = $500
Argon/gas, filler rod, degreaser, semi gloss black paint (gold is extra), chopsaw disc, consumables etc: $200
labor: $30 per hour @37 hrs: $1100
Including r&r seats/other interior/hardtop for finish welding, and masking off interior for paint.
Lets see some of your guys bad ass cage work, and close up of the welds, and an estimate/explanation of what you would do :corn:
