Ronda Rousey

We also aren't talking about Sonnen. He would **** Rousey up quickly too. It may sound sexist but I don't see any possible way in hell she could stand against a man. I don't think she could even in her own weight class. Uriah Faber would make quick work of her in my opinion. Same weight.

I hate mayweather BUT she would stomp his ass in a RULELESS fight not boxing but an anything goes fight,

I'd say if she could get her hands on him BEFORE he could knock her out she'd have a good chance.

She has to be considered rich by now. Seen a thing on ESPN where she's averaging over 1.5 million per second due to the quickness of her fights. Pretty good money.

She will if cyborg, who has ZERO fat on here entire body, loses 10 lbs to fight her even though in comparison RR is damn near fluffy... sounds scared to me

I don't think she would fight Cyborg at any weight (even though she has said she would fight her at 135). She would just find some other excuse to avoid her. She don't want no part of Cyborg and Dana White doesn't want to take a chance on her getting beat by Cyborg.

I don't understand why Rousey doesn't make the higher weight class. If she is such a MMA goddess then what should she have to worry about? I think its all talk.

Edit: nevermind, I got the answer to the 145 weight in the article.

The kicker is RR used to fight at 145, she is flat out scared, end of story

I disagree that RR is scared.

I have to think that it would significantly alter an MMA fighters moves and speed to fight at a different weight than that which they have become accustomed to fighting at for several years. Cyborg is clearly taking a penalty here to make this fight happen. It seems like the fair thing to do would be for them to both agree to fight at 140 lbs, but I know that won't happen. This is obviously a one off fight worth HUGE dollars to everyone involved. If Cyborg loses, people will say RR only won because Cyborg took the penalty of losing 10 lbs. If I was RR, I wouldn't want that hanging over me.

According to Vegas, if the fight were to happen Cyborg would be the underdog:

Just because the world is talking about a Ronda Rousey vs. Cristiane Justino "super fight" (guilty as charged), doesn't mean it's any closer to actually happening. Still, it's hard not to wonder if the mainstream exposure (like this) won't be enough to finally get the deal done.

The champ goes up, the challenger comes down, whatever ... let's just make it happen.

With that in mind, the sportsbooks have already set an opening line for "Rousey vs. Cyborg" and not surprisingly -- based on the Brazilian's considerable might -- the line is as close as it has ever been for a "Rowdy" fight. In fact, the last time the Judoka was sporting a gap this narrow was her Strikeforce title fight against Miesha Tate.

Rousey opened at -245 against +197 for Justino, according to Best Fight Odds.

That line has since changed (see the current odds at Bovada here) but is likely to hold steady until this fight inches closer to becoming a reality. Rousey (12-0) must first face Miesha Tate -- where she's a 10/1 favorite -- while Justino (14-1) needs to finish up her work for Invicta FC.

Until then, all we can do is wait.

The longer we do, the more difficult it will become to make a profit on Rousey. But if you're a "Cyborg" fan with some extra coin, better to let that number balloon up. The bigger she is as an underdog, the more money she'll bring you with an upset victory.
