Serious Discussion about the Forums

i don't understand why you guys want to make the web site and the name hardlinecrawlers turn into a big deal i thought that the whole idea was to have a small club and wheel not make money and have the hassle and responsibility besides what does the club need money for. we started out saying that we were not going to add any members for a wile and we add john and thats been good then we try to get Jake. we talked about Cole now you guys want Keith. i think that we are forgeting what we wanted and that was to wheel with out all the bullshit that comes along with trying grow to fast . i would like to stay small so you know everyone on the board by name if you get to many people it will be like pirate and that is a cluster ------ but that is my 2 cents

Dude you have missed 3-4 meetings where all this stuff was discussed. We talked about inviting Keith to join before we ever mentioned Cole. We first started talking about it at Windrock in November. Plus we decided to try out one member at a time, so nothing is going to happen with Cole until Keith is given a fair shot. We talked initially about getting the club lined up with swag and get a few rides under our belt before we approached the non-member swag. This was 2-3 months back and our board has almost doubled in that time. The goal for the swag is to not gain club members, it is to increase our brand name in the SE and drive more people to our forums. All of these contribute to making our club name stronger and making it more elusive to join which is a good thing for a invite-only club.

I think we can definately add a few members. We have never had any more than 5 rigs at a non-local club ride, which is half the club. We wil not have that next weekend, in Clayton, or most any other ride this year. The original idea behind the club was to travel and wheel new places. Time has shown that realistically only half of the club is capable of doing this consistantly over the course of the year (the 4-5 rigs present on rides greater than 2 hours away has been the same for the most part).

i agree we need a few more members. i guess i will stick with james yall do what ever i'm just here to wheel

I say add a min / max of 3 members, there will always be folks that cant make a ride that we put together, this weekend is s prime example, if members bail, open the ride up and have a blast

My .02 and we discussed it a little at the SFWDA meeting that we went to this morning as well. good stuff thumb.gif

I opened up the ride in the public forums as discussed today. We have 3 rigs going so I thought we could see if anybody else has interest to show up.

Glad ya'll decided to open it up this weekend, I'm going to be a no show it looks like. :'(

Looks like you all woulda had a ride anyway with all the locals that planned to be there... glad it wont be two rigs all alone laughing

We need a decison on this before the next weekend. If it requires a special meeting them we need to make that happen. The lead time is a month on swag, so we need to get the order forms out so we can get it going

Were we at on this stuff ?

Reason I ask is cuz I have those freebie stickers 3 tons o Fun made and if we are gonna let people fly the logo ( his have no words...) then Id like him to know up front since he made some and gave them away out of respecting our wishes.

( be shitty to start selling them public after we told him directly no .... )

P ( dont matter to me) Diddly

I am guessing we will finalize a decision at the meeting. We make decisions like old people fawk, slow and sloppy!

laughing1 I know James Dollar is old and sloppy... Im gonna assume Rich and John G are right there with him too !

DOH !! :flipoff1:

I dunno, exactly what is the question? I'll try to form an opinion in a week or so. Or make it real somple and start a poll. The fewer choices the better.
