How wide are those rockwell buggys and enclosed trailers? I had to pass on a 24' enclosed because my buggy is too wide. >:(

just get one 8.5' wide. ordered mine 8.5' and a +12" extra height so the buggy would fit easily.

Mine with the snail trail motel on it.

molaugh my trailer in this thread is funny! Bought this from a guy and had to rebuild it. It will be a heck of an rzr trailer but a little light for the Jeep. The bow in the center gives it character.

This is my trailer, bought it from a guy off here and have fixed it up and added a few things to it for camping. It will be pulled all over the country this year going to off-road events to my diesel races and pulls. Headed to Florida at the end of the month!!

I built exactly what I thought I wanted at the time but now I need bigger and heavier. I've been looking at 48-53' drop deck van trailers for my next big trailer.

You going to sell that one?

It's 24' long... Yes, it's for sale. I'm cleaning it up this week and putting it for sale. $2500 firm. I just need a heavier duty trailer to haul my Tahoe. I don't like maxing out a trailer and my Tahoe would be pushing it.

Wish you were closer, all the good deals are a few states away.

Here's one I built a couple of years ago for hauling the buggy. I wanted to leave as much weight at home as possible (ramps, winch, center deck) while still having heavy duty running gear, and a trailer I could scrap with.
It's 16 ft. and runs two 7K axles. Same tire size as the tow rig (245/75 R16) and I'm running BFG Commercial LT tires bacause trailer tires suck.
I left the fenders open on the back to gain an extra 3.5" of width. buggy fits in between perfectly.
I also made a removable spare tire mount using an extra hub, bearings, and spindle. nothing like having parts on the road.

This weekend I added a spare tire mount and toolbox to my trailer. The tire is mounted with a spare tire hoist from a 99 Dodge Ram so I can lower it to the ground when needed. I need to add a safety chain as well just in case. I was going to mount it under the deck, but it seemed like it would be a PITA to get it out when I needed it. I can always move it later if I want. The toolbox is something I won from the raffle at Dixie Run like 3 years ago. I had a gooseneck at the time so I sold it to a buddy. He swapped to a different box and I bought a bumper pull so I bought it back from him.

Finished after dark so not a great pic.

I think the stake pocket D rings PJ offers are great! I love that I can have tie downs where I need them as my loading needs change; Jeep, RZR, tractor, etc.

The flush mount square tube tie down points are sweet on that red trailer. I really like that idea if you dont want stake pockets or rub rails. ...gotta remember that one.

Gettin any speeding tickets towing this that's for sure !! But my ol cummins pulls it just fine
My 53 ft wedge open trailer weighs around 8-9k. My empty weight with trailer and Dodge 2wd dually is 16k.

Bringing this thread back from the dead as well.

Here's our 28' enclosed gooseneck. Has full living quarters, separate shower, toilet, basic kitchen area, microwave, and toaster oven. Also has a big water tank and big electric water heater. Rig fits in like a glove, with storage under it and behind it. Can still slide by the front tire and use the living quarter area with the rig inside.

@jeff150 and @GNorton previously owned it and we've had it for a a year and a half. So far we have spent roughly 40 nights in it and the only two things I would change is 1) a City Water hookup (easy but just haven't done it yet) and 2) the electric heater works great until the outside temp drops below 40 degrees, but since there is nothing inside that's propane, it doesn't have a secondary heat source (other than a space heater).
