SLOWWW TJ build

here's a cage shot.
cage2.jpg

it comes home for a few weeks for body and paint, and tin in the backhalf, the back to VL for skid and drive shafts :woot: :woot:

went and bought a new 4" grinder and flap discs today. Holy **** those are expensive  I had always just used used ones from the local huge steel fab shops. wow, $7 each without arbor. I'm going to buff the cage down and sexy it up and then the whole rig leaves for some body work.....**** I just can't do or not time/cost effectively. Hopefully when I get back from illinois in a couple weeks or month it has a radiator mounted, hoses ran, cage painted, maybe some brakes, steering bled (I just got done mounting cooler/making hoses, he hasn't brought down fluid), winch spooled, and ready for shafts and battery box. Close after that.

cage is POR15 then UV topcoated, looks mean. Way to Go Kelly..

I still have alot of little things, like: tin the rear, driveshafts, tin the floor, cut the tailgate down, then back to Kelly for skid plate and to setup the shocks, finish the tube fenders and grill hoop. But the tin and tailgate will be done in 2 weeks the Kellys.

thanks, Blacksheep10 deserves the credit, he can build one hell of a Rig.. The cool thing is, I told him what I was lookin for and he built it better.. Paola in the house!!!!!!

Any updates Kelly? I'm getting ideas for the YJ. I want it as low as I can get it with a flat belly. I think the floor pan is going to have some serious mods to get the atlas up in there and make room for the rear upper links.

Update, I was laid off from Olathe Jeep, and had a new job in 2 days, but less money, I cut the hood, and bought the brakelines. I need to plumb the lines, run the remote tranny cooler lines, and the Jeep will run and turn. I need to charge the Air Shox..

kelly sounds good I need to get the trailer back so next week if that works for you..
