I wanted a way to easier tie the axle down to the trailer so we worked up these fancy D rings onto the truss = simple.

build094.jpg

Doesn't it tow wierd using tie downs on the axle? I have always thought ya wanted to tie down the body an load the suspension some so that it doesnt sway on corners or in high winds.:scratchhead:

I have to chain mine to the axles. The springs squat so much the binders pop loose on my way out of the hills. Plus I like to watch the mad body roll out the rear view. Looks like one of Odie's creations is tailgating me and going to roll over!:haha:

Never tie down a rig to the body or frame, always to the axles. :awesomework:

However, the guts of the detroit were still fine, so I'm gonna run it.
