Got the radiator hoop redone and started painting the front end.

Ran into a minor problem with the diff cover and the tie rod connecting at full steering. So we heated the diff cover with a torch...

Put the tie rod at full lock and beat on it with a hammer to recess the diff cover enough as not to contact the tie rod.

Problem solved.

The old catalytic converter took up too much space so we made a new one.

As you can see, it utilizes the new space age "noseeum" catalyst while retaining the O2 sensor.

The original cat was gutted and the check engine light never came on for an O2 code. If it does, I will contact you. :awesomework:

Track bar in place.

Brake lines installed on control arm.

Fuel tank in place. We reused the stock tank, and put it behind the seats.

Rear crossmember welded in and painted.

Fuel line ran through the body right behind drivers seat.

Final install of rear control arms.

Soft line on the control arm for the rear brakes.

Rear coil retention "top hats" to retain the coils. And rubber blocks to eliminate coil noise.

Rear end installed. Except for upper shock tabs.

Fuel line run.

Rear brake line flex hoses finished up.

Rear axle final install.

Finally supported by the axles again, no more framerail jackstands.

Something fancy, we didn't want the front recovery point D-rings to "clang" against the frame so we drilled out some holes and epoxied some magnets in there to keep the D-rings secure as we bounce around the trail.

Fuel line run to gas tank.

Welding on upper shock tabs for the rear.

Ehxaust is done. Tom made it like a Volkswagen. Dump out the rear.

Exhaust clamp with weld on rings. Dunno where he got these but they are pretty fancy.

Rear cutout and shocks in. Plan on making some fenders after KOH. The project was on the list but got scrapped for lack of time.

Front shock tabs in.

Trimming stock shock buckets after blowing them out with the plasma cutter.

Drivers side shock mount.
