SX stickies

You talking to me? I've kind of increased pressure over time as I take tires out. Every tire I would increase psi by a few lbs. I was at 25 psi when I took my last one out last weekend.
How much that little rock crawler of yours weigh?

Thank you but I am not a badass. I am just a guy with bad luck who needs to learn how to drive.
i disagree you are a badass. Bad luck with cutting tires yeah. Learning to drive meh. Heavy ass buggy YES!

Just got them installed last night, haven't got out of the shop yet. Here's a pretty crappy pic though.

I might be a redneck but the boggers looked better. :flipoff1:

It will definitely take your rig to the next level.

Thank you. I really like the look of the 44s better but at this point I'll try anything to save tires. Wheelbase is 120, 17 belly.

Boggers are cool but I live the SX on hummer wheels. They look mean

I think it looks better now! I know for 100% it will climb better now!

awesome! Very similar to mine! Does your belly Drag much?

Yes, rock gardens can be very tricky sometimes but I wouldn't trade the stability for anything. Someday I'm going to move my rear 16" shocks to the front and get some 18's to put in the rear. This will hopefully allow the axles to drop out a bit more and reach for tera firma in the rock gardens.

looks like they stick great to concrete :flipoff1:

congrats on the tires. I'm very happy with my non-sticky SX2s, but definitely want to step up to the stickies at some point.

and for EsPowell.. >:D

Go on and stomp the skinny peddle on some of that smooth Fla coral rock. Then hit me up and I'll hook Ya up with a set of 44's... :woot:
Nah really when i got my "college fund" tires, I noticed the gas pedal just ain't gotta be stomped to make it, or try to make it up somthin.. Like I was sayin, One or two rides and out of no where Ya start tryin stuff that before you would look at and know you was bout to mash out. I recomend the first ride just do a 30 second burnout on the rev limiter, i would if I was you. Haha Seriously tho, knowin u and ur luck with tires (Prob worst on HL) I would keep them psi's up and see how they do.. I know with the treps when I get down below 9lbs all i can think of is a cuttin sidewalls.. I get nauseous just thinking about it. Haha.

I know he has bad luck with tires, but I have yet to ruin a sidewall (knocking on wood now!) on my SX2s and usually run them about 4psi. many times have they been folded over and the beadlock ring was riding on the sidewall.

they've been to many parts of the country as well. little bit of luck, but they are a damn tough tire.

Those tires are bad azz. I have seen several sets flat worn out but not destroyed. Hopefully they hold up for you. I had several in our shop and they are THICK!

It occurred to me that I did not measure the bead thickness of the Boggers or TSL's before I used the same PCV inserts on the SX's. The beads seemed the same thickness just going by recollection and there did not seem to be any issue going together or running them. I even put one together and took it back apart to check and see if there was any potential bead damage, there wasn't. Should I have possibly cut the inserts down a bit before installing?

I went to the local park last Sun. with the new tires at 15 psi. I deliberately stayed off some of the coral reef rocks they have there. But I got through most of a day of trail riding without destroying a tire. That was a nice feeling since the last bogger I popped was at the same place just trail riding. It wasn't a true test of the tire but there was one little ledge that I was able to crawl that I normally would have had to bump up.

To me, this is the best part of these tires. I remember some hill at Choco that i basically crawled and you hammered...we both got to the top...hammering on it is fun no doubt, but it also fun to be able to crawl when it will let you.
