I tore down the motor this weekend and bored out the back of the crank to accept a larger pilot bushing for the nv 3550 trans I bored it to 1.056" so I can just use an off the shelf pilot bushing:awesomework:
Im in the process of installing new front out put bearings and new seal through out on the dana 300.Then Ill get back to fabbing on the cage.

Thanks for the kind words.

I like the "cooled seats' via propane tank.:flipoff:

All kidding aside, nice work!:awesomework:

lol ya I think the pane is like -40* in liquid form. That would cure the hot burito farts lol

That tank will move back about a foot or so and will be removed and installed from the side of the rig...thats the plan anyways.

Thanks,Mike.

I got the rear frame bars tied into the frame a lil stronger now,I tied it into the very bottom skid mount square tubes for a smooth transition from the skid to come and the back of the bottom side of the frame.

Also capped off the stock frame.
this is the pass. side.I havent got to it yet.
zukbuild104.jpg

it will look somthing like this.
DRiverside.
zukbuild105.jpg

capped off
zukbuild103.jpg

Big Zuk

Hey Mike,

You have told me a lot about your Zuk, but this is the first I have seen of it. Looks Awesome! You are gonna have yours running a long time before I get the Chili Pepper back on the trail. Lookin at your build makes me really want to get back on mine.

Keep up the good work, I'll stop in the shop and shoot the **** with ya sometime this week.

Later

Pete? I assume.

Thanks man.Looking forward to you getting youre rig going again.Should be pretty sick after hearing youre plans for it.

Glad to motivate ya....I could sure use some(motivation) lol me getting kinda burned out on it.

Been concidering fireing myself so I can get some damn spare time to build on this again :haha::haha:

Zuk

Ya it's Pete,

Stopped in the shop today to get a filter and plugs for the kids 4 wheeler. Noticed your truck is fixed. Looks pretty good.

I need to find a pipe bender to buy, so if you know someone parting with one, let me know. I think my rig is gonna weigh like 10,000 lbs when its done so I am gonna have to build a stout cage.

Anyway, don't give up on the Zuk, its closer to done than you think. Its gonna be a badass ride when its done. The first time you wheel it you'll see that every minute was worth it.

Lookin good, keep it up buddy:awesomework:

I tore down the rig to do some welding on the frame(everything has been tacked for the most part.

zukbuild044.jpg

I burned up an 11lb spool of wire over the weekend,my lil 110 lincoln was pissed!!:redneck:

I got it all done tho.

zukbuild046.jpg

zukbuild048.jpg

capped these ends off and gave them an angle so they can slide over rocks and such easy.
zukbuild040.jpg

Much easier to weld all this upp sitting nice and high upside down.:awesomework:
zukbuild042.jpg

Picked up a homemade tubing bender through some horse trading.
bender001.jpg

The slides for the alluminum sliding die were pretty out of wack the previous owner didnt weld them in there level so it was not operating correct, plus the hand powered jack is just way to much work to operate imo.

So I tore it apart and welded the bottom plates in correctly and converted it over to air over hydraulic jack and gave it a new paint job.

Here she is after I so called peed all over it and made it my own
zukbuild038-1.jpg

a holder for the air control, might try to make a foot pedal for it so i can have both hands free for bending.
zukbuild037.jpg

whatcha think of this tool?its no jr2 or the likes...:corn:

i also knocked out some rocker mods on the body.

zukbuild033.jpg

zukbuild034.jpg

Hey Pete you can get all the parts from pro-tools to build one like this for about 3 bills.I like it(never used anything other than this one)the only thing I dont like about it is anything over about 95* the tube hits the benders frame work.So I cant really build shock hoops and the likes...oh well Ill hit Dennis up when I need those type of bends, hes sporting the jr2 bender.

Thanks for the good words Pete,ya the Dodge came out real good cant eavan tell it was wrecked.:awesomework:

I got the other frame work finished to match up what i did on ethe other side.
capping off the frame ends.
zukbuild115.jpg

zukbuild116.jpg

heres a better look at what I did and you can see why.Ill have a nice smooth transition on the back of the frame(no spot for hanging up on)
zukbuild117.jpg

Ya I still got the 35's and i got a set of 38" tsl's also.I think im going to buy new mtr kevlars the 40" ones for the zuk.

I removed all the brackets on the firewall and welded up a bunch of unneeded holes, basiclly just clean up the firewall make it look nice and clean.
