Why did you buy a twin stick shifter?

i have never had a twin stick but i have always liked them...i dont know i just like them... and it gets away from the stupid J pattern shift.. its easier to shift. not that i need it but i get 2 low and 2 low/low now

why not buy it brad ??????????????????????????

Its not a real twin stick. Its just for looks. A toyota Tcase cannot be shifted like boxes that normaly get twinsticked.

You could do anything with two/dual case shifters that a twin stick will do.

If you had one tcase then it would give you the ability to hit 2x low. With duals you can do that with normal shifters.

But hey its $150 woth of :bling:

i don't mean to sound dumb, but i don't follow you.... i can shift now 4 hi, 4 lo,2 hi ,2 lo, 4 lo/lo, 2 lo/lo........before i had 2 hi, 4 hi, 4 lo...with that dualed i would of had 2 hi, 2 lo, 4 hi, 4 lo, 4 lo/lo...........

i pick up 1 more settings that i would not have gotten with a stock shifter...
now i do understand that i really do not have a need for 2 lo/lo , but i have it

the main reason i got it was with my OEM shifter, it sucked,... going into 4 lo i would have to sit there and fidle with it and going back into 2 wd, i didn't just shift straight up into it like it should have... maybe it was me maybe it was the shifter/t-case... i don't know all i know now, is it goes exactly where i want it and its very very smooth ..... i don't have to sit there and try to find a gear....

probably cause you can't say " hey baby wanna touch my shifters? all 62 of em?" :eeek:

leave the guy alone, that **** is dope... and I have the same **** with the exception of 4.7s in the twin-sticked case so i can run even more combos.:flipoff:

all the cool kids want them things so piss off:kissmybutt:

well the build slowed down i decided instead of paying someone to do the tube work for me i would spend roughly the same amount and just buy my own bender so i did i bought the JD2 model 3 and a few more tools to help along the way.

anyway back to the build.. most of the body mounts have been cut off and the welds along the frame have been ground down.

all of my fab parts: engine mounts, way back shackle hangers, parts to make the crossmember........all the parts are in so game on

will be posting pics soon

had to make a welding cart real quick because i got tired af carring it around.... then i put the way back shackle hangers from Roughstuff together... i was planning on cutting the ghetto lift drop boxes off but the more i started cutting into the welds the previous owner put down the more i relised i didn't want to go this route so i cut the back of the frame of and sleeved new square stock in.........then i installed the new shackle hangers... then i boxed the back end in... it is not finished yet i am going to go back and cap the to frame extention pieces off and grind them down so it is nice and square around the back...here are some pics of everything so far.. hopefully next week in will be moving the engine back and fabing up the crossmemeber so i can start laying floor...also got the bender mounted
