Trump for prez?

Ok, I watched the debate all over again this weekend. It was on when I got off, so I watched it. For some reason, I was reading the candidates body language more and absorbed more of the information this time. Here is what I came away with.

Trump is a wishy-washy flip-flop **** who CANNOT be trusted.

Huckabee is my man. He is the ONLY one that was 100% honest.

Carson will make a GREAT boring vice prez.

Rand has good ideas, but if he gets in he'll be more of the same.

Everybody else is more of the same, big government rinos.

****. Hit the post button on accident. Anyway, I don't think Mike has a snowball's chance, but I'll sure as hell vote for him if he makes it as far as the Tennessee primary.

I agree with a lot of this. I don't want a man like Trump with his finger on the nuke button. He seems too trigger happy of a person. I heard he fired one of his head people the day after the debate. The president of this great country needs to come across as perfectly calm and 100% professional. I did not see that in Trump during the debate.

Huckabee has some weird liberal social stances that scare me...like being for common core education. It's weird he runs on the "Holy Roller"Christian value ticket, but then is liberal on many social items. But he does play in a band...so hes got that goin for him. LOL

That holy roller stance I think is what gives him the socially liberal views. You lnow, the help those in need, charity at gunpoint ideas. But I don't see how taking away welfare entitlements will change the spooks overnight. I don't hold ANY hope for welfare ever going away, short of a shtf situation. But if Jeb Bush was for the Fair Tax, as much as I hate that rino motherfucker, I think I could vote for him if he won the nomination. If you don't know about the Fair Tax, trust me and read the book.

I've been leaning more towards Cruz/Carson. I think Carson would make an excellent president I just don't know if folks would vote for him. Who knows it's a long election. I know one thing however I will NEVER vote for a Democrat especially this day and age of border line socialism/liberalism.

I used to be against common core as well until I looked into it more.

Common core does use some weird brain tease type techniques specifically in math and that's what people see on the internet. I am an engineer and I tend to clump things together in my head when solving a problem using similar techniques. They still teach the traditional ways of doing things and students can still do it that way but lets face it America has been behind in especially in math and sciences for over a decade globally. My wife is an Assistant principle on a military installation in a very good school district and the problem is they get kids from all over United States and a lot of these kids supposedly were on grade level at their school but when they came here they were at least a grade or two behind. This is the issue and one that needs to be considered if we want our kids to be some of the best in the world. We need "Common" standards throughout the United States of what a student should know in a particular grade level........think about that.
Maybe the answer is another program, statistics say it takes 5-7 years to see a fundamental change. I just believe we need a common set of standards throughout the United States so it is even throughout.

That, and the evaluation system. There are certain things that the evaluator wants to see, things like rigor, questioning, timing, pace, proof of written understanding, etc. Some of these things are almost impossible to demonstrate in a welding class at the end off a semester. By the last 2 months, we aren't even in the book anymore. That's where I got a bad evaluation and was not re-signed for the next year. Sure, evaluate the English, math, science, and social studies that way, but the vocational classes should be treated differently. I don't mind being evaluated, but I believe my main purpose is to teach common sense, critical thinking, job skills, and give these boys (and some girls) a reason to show up to school and out of the principal's office. I could give you at least 25 names of kids that graduated only because I made them.

But I also believe that the federal government's only jobs are to deliver my mail (debatable) and defend our country. NOTHING ELSE.

I agree with you, the vocational classes should not be included for reasons you described. I also agree with you about Cruz but he has proposed some fantastic bills and has stood by his word. I also like Trump in interviews, though his performance was a little off under the Fox attacks and his remarks were not so pleasant towards Kelly after the debates lol. We just need a decent conservative voted in and we should be way better off than we are now especially if we get term limits passed.

I am sorry, but I just can't stand listening to Cruz speak. All I hear is blah, blah, blah, blah, ding, blah, blah, blah, ding, ding, blah, blah, blah. Rubio needs to get life experience and balance his own checkbook, Bush is just spending money for exposure at this point. Carson is done, Kasich is not electable, Christie should have run 4 years ago. Who am I leaving out?

Donald Trump may take us into WWIII, who knows. He does have some valid points and is edgy of a presidential candidate as I have seen. I don't ever see him wearing mom jeans and a ****ing pastel bike helmet. I see him with a cigar and bourbon, telling the Russians and Chinese to get bent, but in a nice way, lol. As of now, he gets my vote.

Holy **** the Democratic Race. Who do you want to win that one? Mr. I give everyone one an equal share of everything or I can't keep a secret, no matter how important it is.

Sucks he got dropped out of the race but I can understand where he's coming from. People just aren't ready to do what's necessary to fix what's wrong in this country and that's what he wants to do. Looks like we gotta wait for 4 more years of the same old **** and see if people finally get tired of it. I'll be back to voting for Gary Johnson in November and praying that he could pull off 5% of the vote. That should get the Libertarians some money and a spot in the national general election debates in 2020.

Agreed I always thought of the primary as the time you vote your convictions, but the main election if you have to hold your nose and vote for someone you don't really like.... DO IT. or we end up with what we got now Obama.

That's exactly what you do. If you voted for McCain or Romney over obama, you practically voted for hillary-lite. So I voted Libertarian both times.
