• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Turbo 350 issues.

There's no upgrade in the world that will take overheating..... At 250ish degrees the fluid starts breaking down and burnt fluid kills the trans.

Now more clutches and faster shifts reduce slipping and thus heat...

Upgraded hard parts will hold more torque and take harder shock loads.

Far and away though, 5.38 gears will make the tranny work MUCH better and drop the temps over ambient by probably 80%

On top of that the rig will feel like it has twice as much power at low speeds...

Truth! And laugh your ass off, driving it back on the trailer every weekend after wheeling.

With ya on this Ed....love my rocks and 465 for the type of wheeling I do. I do prefer the NV4500 I had in a previous rig tho.

Under built front axles and auto transmissions will kill a weekend fast. Until I can afford to do each correctly,I'll run my heavy ass rocks and manny tranny.
I feel like if you are not ready to lay down the cash to properly build an auto industry ou should at least consider a different approach, either a manual or gearing.

Everything about my junk is under built other then the motor and 3 link :****:

Game plan is to piece together one more 350, I'm doing this myself by robbing good parts from a 2wd trans I have and only ordering what I absolutely have to. That way if it doesn't work out quite right, I don't have an auto with a buncha upgrades in it doing nothing. This is to see if I can rebuild one myself more then anything else.

If that works, I will be building one with upgrades myself. I'm not the kinda person to send something out if I think I can do it myself.

Planning to regear....just not these axles thumb.gif
