Walker Nov 13th...Rocking the reroute!

ok... so working on saturday...for some reason if we do not finish saturday are we planning on finishing sunday or another weekend???

also who is bringing their wheelers... anyone planning on wheeling after the work party?????????????

IF we do not finish, (which I think we will in a few short hours)...Elyse said she is available the following saturday until the early afternoon if anyone wants to come out then (which I believe a few WIOR folks are planning to come out that day)...
And yes, we're all bringin' our wheelers as we're (RRR's) gonna be there all weekend!

My trailer is non dump and set up for moving big boulders and stumps, if you guys are moving gravel I dont think it is worth haulin it up there. Do you still need to move bigger rocks this weekend?

Corey, although compared to what you have hauled it is small, but your trailer can move alot of material in one shot...I think it'd be a huge help.:awesomework:

Corey showing up with his truck and trailer would be great.:awesomework:

I feel though, that he would have the same experience as Rick with trying to get any "substantial" load up the little climb before the swale. The most effect means of getting any sort of substantial load up the little climb was Matts Toyota on Boggers. Towing/dragging anything up a muddy incline is pretty futile IMO.

Corey may have better results being that his truck may be heavier than Ricks buggy(not by much if at all). Also corey has a bit more grunt with the BB. Towing/dragging something does not incease the ground pressure of the tow rig and just becomes a dead weight once forward momentum is lost. When Rick was pulling his trailer ,on the trail, it was fairly dry out with good traction, Fast forward a couple months and a few weeks of steady rain and I think pulling anything up from the landing is going to be ugly.

Rigs with rocks loaded in them is going to be the hot ticket.

That being said..... I'll be in Canada wheelin:redneck:

I agree with Jeff. Given that I could bring my trailer along in case it worked out better for Corey to use (if he wants)rather than his trailer.........It's a "hey whatever works" kind of deal. Anyone who can help is welcome!:awesomework:

X2 after thinking about it....and maybe Rick, you could drag yours up, and save Corey from bringing his trailer all the way up only to find out it didn't work...We could also 1/2 load the trailer, figure out what he can get up there...

I do have a pintle. If Rick brings his trailer, I would be happy to haul it with my Chev. That would work out better for me.

I am not trying to be discouraging.....just realistic.

We were loading Ricks trailer 1/3 full...at the most. Part of the problem is the base weight of that style of trailer is 1500#???.....maybe more.....not sure, but ALOT.
I took Corey's comments about the rock tobbogan idea to heart as well as my experience last weekend dragging around a couple rigs. One was "stuck" and the other was broken. Both rigs could spin their tires and help forward momentum.....but once they hit ANY sort of resistance I was stopped in my tracks. It was very muddy and one was being pulled up hill.

I'll bring it. May or may not work but whatever, we tried.

The trailer weighs 2500 lbs. Like I said it may or may not work out but whatever. Turning it around may be a bigger issue.:eeek:

Yeah, I knew where you were goin' with it...:;
Who knows, but if it doesn't work out, like rick said, at least we tried! :awesomework: If it does, then it'd be a success of some sort.:D And as for turning around, I think just past the swale, there's a spot that he could get it turned...we'll look at all that Sat am...:awesomework:

All loaded up tonight by 9!:yikes: and ready to head down tomorrow after work!

It sucks to work so hard up there and try to fight and say wheelers care and promote a good image then people see stuff like this. That sucks!!!!!! Im with yah.

Probably wood poachers....gate was likely open when they went in, then it was locked when they came out...happens ALOT!:mad:
