FYI. I was contacted by a company again about buying the forum. If we could keep control of it and make some cash, I would be all for it. Doesn't matter either way though

The site should need renewing in May 2017 correct? It is in Johns name. Just something to think about.

How much were the total fees in the past? How do we get it in the boards name, or whose name would it go under?

I'm totally fine with putting it in my name. I don't recall the cost. Once things get a little easier I'll contact Nan and see if John had the account info in a file somewhere (I'm sure he did)

I would like to put the site in my name, since I originally created registered it back in the day. Also I still have the email listed as webmaster and get stuff from it.

How do we move the site out of John's name? That seems like it will be difficult to do....

I have no problem with that Matt, since you already are receiving emails from them maybe you can help us out on some of the issues as they arise. One being this damn email notification thing that is lingering out there. I have looked endlessly for the right button to push in the admin section and cannot find it. The other thing would be to change to cover screen to one of John G. Are you familiar with any of the updates that are needed? Just a few things that are on my mind these days and want to keep this board kickin ass and takin names...

No problem, thanks to Kel for giving me the login info! The only thing that is due in May is the domain name renewal. I will pay for it since I missed the last renewal.

We need to come up with a strategy for the site though, maybe we should meet and discuss at some point. Maybe sell some add space to fund the ongoing cost/maintenance or maybe someone like Cole or Busted Knuckle would like to acquire it and run with it? I know that none of us can do it justice and that this site could be much bigger than it is today.

If we added dedicated tech sections for legit industry news and information I think we could monetize this thing with private advertising. However - that would take away from what is hardline essence - a bunch of guys who are friends BS'ing about everything. Risky.
