Whoa, when did it go up to $240/year?! Lance hit me up this morning informing me I needed one to have my race pics for sale, I thought okay, no big deal, 100 bucks. Nope! :o It costs a lot of money to make money!

Yeah they are a business and I guess they have the demand to do that. Gotta spend it to make it.

I got in at $100 and think I'm still grandfathered in :flipoff1:

$240 ain't **** man if you're charging enough to make it worth your time that's a drop in teh bucket thumb.gif

It went up this year. According to the bend tech guy (I guess he's in the know?) the goal was to improve the quality of the vendors so that the really small time guys selling a few quarts of amsoil would not renew.

But I'm not. It's only worth what people will pay and they won't pay much. laughing1 If I can sell a disk to at least 6 comp guys from this race I could cover my expenses and the yellow star cost, otherwise I'm out on the star.

Sell some **** then worry about a star... you can pimp for free alot of places, did you hand out cards to every single swinging **** you ran into ?

Most the drivers know who oyu are and that you have a sight so i dont see the star on PBB being overly benefitial to your situation right now. :dunno:

well whats a disk going to run?

And sorry Attica really sucked for pics. It just wasnt a worthy course. Hannibal was much more photo friendly.

EDIT: just found it. $100 is reasonable.

Yup, I gave out 34 cards this weekend. I'm not too worried about the yellow star.

Dude, I thought attica rocked for photos. Sure, the action wasn't as insane but the sunlight and the sand was awesome. I'll have some more pics up when I'm not busy with school. Waiting to go to a book discussion right now...

Conditions yes, terrain not really.

The only good air shots were of people that came up short on that hop up for the most part. I likes the drifting pics, with the inside fronts on all the buggys lifting.

Ricky....

....have you ever thought of picking a few of your most bad-ass pics and making up some posters???

I have some ideas for you that could yield some good profits.... There's a market segment that has DEFINETLY not been tapped into yet. I wouldn't be opposed to teaming with you on a project.

LMK dude I have some good sources for high quantity(and quality) print. You can sell ALOT in the fall before Christmas---especially if it's posters that can be given as christmas presents. Just give me a call this evening and I can help you as much as I can with as much or little hands on as you need. If ya don't feel like it don't worry, no hurt feelers over here.

I just think you have an awesome talent and if you can market that to the general $5-20 dollar impulse buy consumer that you could make some decent bucks---which can support the travels, lifestyle that you are after thumb.gif **** sell articles to crawl, discs to competitors, and sell to gen. public..... that's like tripple dippin yer **** pepper.gif

The yellow star never crossed my mind. Oh well, like you said get some cheese in then get you one. You are going to need it in the future.

I did question one thing, in your album, is that where you would select 10 pics for a cd? I am just thinking out loud that there may not be 10 shots of someone, is that possible?

Right now there may not be 10 shots of someone in my album, but i will make it happen. Otherwise they can buy 1 for $20 each.

You would contact me directly listing the photos you wanted and i'd put them in a disk. I need to add that to the page. Downloads can be done by CC from the website. but you can't get the $100 disks but only from me.

and Ricky its 10 shots out of your entire collection not just 10 from 1 event or gallery? correct? once you get to release Gray Rock, and Hannibal, I will have an order for you. I know you have a few I want on my wall.

It'll be for each album. Sorry homie.

Not telling you what to do, but I would think about it. You have got to understand the people that own the rig are about the only ones your pictures or time is worth any thing to. If you don't sell what you have then your work is worthless no matter how good it is. Work with them and give them what they want. Out of the album you posted you don't hardly have ten pics of one buggy. I know you have plenty more but if they aren't worth posting on your site are they worth buyin????? It is a fine line and you have to understand that catering to a customer is key in success. I bust my ass to do anything a good customer wants.

Just think on it homie. You know I will help out any way I can.
