• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

What's with all this RZR talk??

Tying the cage to that rear diff seems like such a bad idea, but I assume it's common place. Tiny lil diff there would go boom in a hard roll I'd think.

What size tubing is typically used?

And yes, that cage looks really nice and simple. If I had land to ride on, I would really consider one of these even though I rag on them a lot

The plate it bolted to the frame and doesnt support or bolt to the rear diff at all. 1 3/4" is norm. Im going to use 1 3/4" .120 HREW and some 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" also. These things are a blast. I have been having so much fun with mine.

that looks a LOT like the one I did on clint's/brandon's. simple and clean, no swoopy stuff.
The rear bumper needs an upper bar, although that looks pretty cool.
I like the matching seats :dblthumb:

Ya it does. I like the rear bumper on this one and dont think ill do a upper bar. Only things different is X behind the seats and make a bend in the middle of eye brow bar

no way that is 1.75 tubing, looks more like 1.5". 1.75 would be overkill on one of those small things.

I'd run 1.5" x 0.95" wall.

Im not sure what that cage pictured tubing size is. Nothing wrong with a little over kill. Stock cages are like 1 3/4"

Is it really thin wall???

older models were like .083, my stock one was about .090

I built this all out of 1.75 .120 wall DOM.

I NEVER would have guessed above .060 on the 08 stock ones. Taht **** is paper thin. It actually tears laughing1
Wyatt, the tube we're using is smaller OD than stock. I'd like to find some .095 DOM but my supplier carries .125 in 1026 only in 1.75

oh yea. youre right, Its .065 on the older ones and 0.83-0.090 on the newer ones. And it still looks thin as hell!

I would love to replace the one on my 4....it is ugly as fawk but i am going to wait until I bend it first.
