Picked her up this weekend. Couldnt be more happy with it. be nice to know Ill be starting from an awesome foundation. Money well spent.

Bout to strip axles down. That should be ride height. 20 in belly, 7in uptravel, 7in down travel

I would but craigslist adds expire... one of my buddies bought one for 700 bucks and ditched the whipple tronics junk (their piggy back computer and extra injector for extra fuel) and bought a set of injectors and it was good to go, made mid 500s to the ground in a 04 z71 on a 5.3... just dont see many running the whipple blowers.. Hopefully the new lt engines coming out will make the ls engines price plummet and not be priced the same as gold lol. I built a motor that made in the 500 fwhp range for 2500 bucks including the price of a low miles 6l, using alot of good parts. The other day i missed a deal on a ls6 for 500 bucks with 50k on it just needed alittle head work due to a warped valve.

All im trying to say is you dont have to spend a fortune to build a ls motor that makes good power if you shop right parts are everywhere
 
Looks like Im going with a L33 Aluminum 5.3 Bout to tear it down and have it checked out, will be about 60 lbs lighter than an iron block and with cam/tune should make 400hp easy....
 
Got some work done and a few parts come in. November is gone so its time for a shave with the 13 bolt UCF cover and went ahead and got their pinion guard also. Arms showed up from WOD. More parts coming from Ruff Stuff. Shop is busier than normal this time of year and with the holidays time is hard to find to work on it.
