Zero turn mowers, What's crap what's good?

Sorry sir, I was mowing yesterday and my damn seat kept coming loose. I was going to try to make it to next year but I am not sure I can or will. Trying to be strong over here and not.

I really want to save up and pay cash for one, but I am not sure mine will make it. Its a residential craftsman zero turn I have had for 11 years and has 850 hrs on it. I believe I got the good out of it. Its on its second motor and second deck.

Hate that y'all havin these problems. I will say that with my 60" and helper on my 52" Exmark we been cuttin 10' @ about 4 mph. Runnin great. All day. 800+ hours. :flipoff1:
But hey... Don't listen to me.. I just cut grass for a living :flipoff1:
#dumbasses #hardhead

Although I am serious bout that. I would still get what ever the local ace hardware or watever u got around u services.
I just can't believe that Exmark isn't as big as it is here around y'all. Walker and Exmark for the win. Remember I said that as you work on your ****. :woot:

I think there is a stealership for all of them around Knoxville. It may not be Atlanta but it is a one horse town either. We have a pretty good selection.

Dude please , please do NOT think i live in Atlanta. Omg buh. No way. I'm west of Atlanta. 45 min away. I'll put it this way... On a good night with a 15 mph west wind, I can smell crack smoke, fried chicken, and jet fuel. Hahahaha

I have a bobcat going on 7 years now not a minute of trouble and a Dixon for 10 they are both commercial mowers . We did do 23 yards and three 14 acre cemeteries

Curious if the OP found anything yet??

Also, since so many guys have these mowers I had a question not worth starting a thread on, so I will partially derail yours.

When engaging the PTO for the deck, do you all have the engine at full throttle, have throttle, what? I was reading online and people argue full throttle, some say just enough throttle to not kill the engine, and the PTO will last forever. I picked this up last weekend for $600. Has almost 1200HRS on it and has a 23HP Kawasaki. Needed a new electric clutch because a stick had grabbed the wires and ripped them off flush. It came with the new clutch too though. I ordered a few deck pulleys due to worn out bearings, changed oil, filters, sharpened blades, greased it and cleaned it up....and I love it. It's nothing fancy but I have just a little over an acre so I could never spend the big $$ you all are talking about on a new mower anyway. This is a Cadillac compared to the 90's model zero turn I was running. Apparently the company is now owned by Gravely and I see alot of the parts are the same as Gravely.

I always do half throttle on my Hustler Super Z.

I have not. I've been holding out as long as I could but I don't think I'm going to be able to wait much longer. I've broken the deck belt 4 times this season already with no reason to be found. As bad as I hate it I'm gonna have to do a zero percent interest loan on a mower. Me and the misses have discussed it and she says go for it. I'm still dragging my feet subconsciously though. God I hate to do that. I've been struggling with new vs used for a lot cheaper.
