Oh, and BTW---For anyone bringing their personal trailer for the rock-hauling duties...It would be strongly suggested to cover your decking with at least 3/4" plywood (preferably 1"+) to help absord any impact of the rocks being loaded on the trailer...Whoever is doing the loading will be trying to be as careful as possible, but any added insurance you can provide against damage would be helpful!!!:awesomework::awesomework:

the toyota is down right now i might have it up b4 saturday if i can find the time to do so
i will have the truck and trailer though

I was thinkin' for maybe pulling the rocks off the trailers at the other end...I may not even have my trailer avail to get the Sami down there....It's still loaded with garage sale stuff, which will be going this weekend while I'm gone!:redneck:
 
Would a dump trailer work and is there a big intersection to turn it around
 
kevin, if these rocks are big enough that you want to winch them off the trailers what are we using to load them on the trailers...
 
its not a large one, it can do 2 to 3 man rock. It'd be cool to have one that could do a little more, but we also don't want a huge excavator on the trail next week, so that sorta limits the size of rock.

its so funny hearing this from you kevin last time i looked at the walker valley list for the 21st you were on the maybe list :haha:
 
if i get my jeep done tommorow i will drive it there,or i will just drive my truck

Here is a scale of rocks and weights

ROCK SIZE ROCK WEIGHT*(lbs.) AVE DIMENSION
HALF MAN 25
 
yah, it'll probably be in the upper two man range... might be able to get a small three man, but that'd be pushing the limits of the excavator.
