sheetmetal

im not very good especially without a break, im just using a vise, torch, a couple large pieces of metal with a couple of C clamps:redneck: i got this little carbide tipped saw blade that i made fit a 4 1/2 grinder and i cuts aluminium like butter but it sure makes a mess. all the little sparkles are bits of razor sharp alum.:D

some of the finishing touches that will be hidden, thanks james for the welding. little tabs and or reinforcement so i can tap the aluminium for 1/4-20 fasteners and have enough metal to actually hold something.:redneck:

im sick of the sound of my aluminium saw cutting metal, makes my teeth grind. :redneck:

almost done with that phase. i thought i was all done but when i put it all together last night i realized i needed two more tabs welded for tapping.:looser:

one more long day and the interior sheetmetal will be done. then another week on the cowl area.....:eeek:

bump stop for mock-up?

anyone have any bump stops i could use for mock up?

one of the last things i need to set up and dont have the parts or cash to buy right now. if i could borrow one that would be great then i can finnish off fabrication and dissassemble for finish weld and chassis paint.

Ok Hip it has been more then 10 days since your last post to this thread, what have you been up to during that time?

dinkin with the new windshield frame. i have some pictures in the camera....:fawkdancesmiley:my rear suckdown winch should be here today so that is the last major piece of equipment that needs mounted.

redid the fuel cell mounts , added the sway bar.

need to adjust the steering ram mount some as it touches the drag link at full turn.

Beautiful build, i'm just down here in Lynnwood if you need some help lifting or cleaning.

I can do mechanical work but not welding/fab .... atleast not yet :D

I might need some help welding on my truck, so we could exchange services ..

Beautiful build again - how does the horseless carriage thing work? Is that going to be street legal?
