Little Gibby's 45 MB

If this seat was 1" taller at the headrests I would not be able to get it into the rig---its damn tight..

But I threw the seat in to get a rough idea of where it lays. I still have a bunch of measurements to make still but its looking good. I am getting my load of tube on tues but making some headway.

That is exactly what I was envisioning. Looks like it's going to be perfect!

It's so different from the 4runner but it will be so equally cool to drive!

I got the cage cleaned up where the seat mounts were cut off.

So I got some time to play with it.

I got the back assy that I am re-using all prepped. I got inserts and new ends made for the upper portion and got it tacked into place and seat in its rough location.

Just gotta figure out the bends for the lower portion but I have a really good idea on that.

Jackson's son is now waiting for the Willy's to be done. Gibby is in a retirement home and totally forgot about the whole Willy's thing. It is now up to Jackson to have the project done before his son get's old enough! :D:D:D

Sorry but this thing is taking for ever. Well hopefully Jackson will have this when he turns 16. This way he can drive!

It's getting close! It's only been a 10yr build at this point :haha:

Finally got all the tubework done for the seat. Now onto mounts for the seat

So i was hiping to be farther along but a few know i got kinda on the ill side last weekend. But i am finally starting to feel ok again and pushed to at least get the seat mounted. This took some thought to get what i considered a good solid mount.

I did manage to set the seat up so if it does need to go down in the future only the mounts on the tube and "floor" will need removed to drop it--the seat is only 1/8" off the floor.

Surely if "Hawkeye" can find a way to fit, Jackson and i can find a way to fit.

Going to kinda jump around while I figure some things out for the brakes.

Figured I would get the throttle body mounted. Now one thing I did not realize is this is a dual plane intake so each injector will be feeding a bank. I have never experimented with that style of intake and dedicated fuel feed to each bank so I am not sure what to expect.

Also the adapter where the bore holes are, the gasket and the sealing surface at the intake are right at the edge of each other. I used a tab of sealer but I am worried down the road due to hardly any clamping force on the gasket it will fail and suck in--time will only tell there..

But the throttle body is mounted now.

Next thing I am going to tackle is getting the tank ready. I am going to add a small sump that will protrude down thru the floor where the inlet/return will be. I have also decided due to so many angles/curvatures I am going to run rubber hose from end to end.

But the tank is out and the parts are made..
