how to shave weight on rocks????

I'm running a pretty healthy 358 with a 4000 stall converter, motor never really bogs, in only use 1st gear crawling more technical stuff and start in 2nd on hills

I would think if your crawl ratio was around 30-37 or so you should be able to get wheel speed regardless of your axle choice, IF you have enough motor. I honestly think that's the deciding factor. But unless your hitting the bounty hills do you really need 600 horse. Just being able to get that good hard bump to get over a ledge is usually all you need. I went to rocks simply for the gearing, drive shaft clearance, dependability, and cost difference to have rear steer.Prob the smartest move I've made on a Buggie.

I switched rockwells in my buggy for those exact reasons, spent the same amount on a set of OE shafts and I don't think I will ever out grow or tear
These axles up much, I'm building another buggy for my wife right now with tons but only because I already have them and she won't push it as much ad I do, rockwells arnt for everyone but they are for me

yes I was running 205 with 400 with stock 6.0 blow the tires off until on steep hill then it'd bog motor down so I figured with the 2.1 205 I'd drop a cam in 6.0 and that would take care of that ended up finding a hell of a deal on stack 2.3 so dropped it in also world of difference still not gettn the speed I want So might need to change up motor or blow the motor I gots or it might just be me being a non driving **** beats me

What stak did you buy that has a 2.3 range? I didn't see one listed on there site. That might be throwing your numbers off.

You sure your figuring that right? Transmission low gear x case low gear x axle gear. 15 should be a high geared pig

Aren't you running big wide 44s on steel wheels?

Rotating mass is probably hurting you compared to showgirl too. 43 sx aren't that big or wide.

43's are heavier tho aren't they?I was thinking I was told the sidewalls are really thick, haven't ran them yet so not sure on that.

They are 121 lb according to interco. I bet the pitbulls are 130-140, and a lot wider. Probably quite a bit taller too. 43 sx are only 40-41"

142 according to pitbull

You fellows are getting awful precise . He'll just feed that sum bitch more fuel and put it in any gear you want to.

I've been waiting for a fire breathing supercharged motor to end up in a bouncer, that's when the bar will be raised and the 2" shafts start getting broke.
