If you were to get rid of that and get a 2wd cummins.. you'd get 2 mpg betteromc-m38a1 said:Here is my tow rig. This little 5 cylinder really has some power. I can even get 24 mpg with it. You guys trucks are way to big.
Boomer said:As for my own still new-to-me tow rig:
1997 Dodge Ram 2500
5.9l Cummins 6BT
NV4500 transmission
NV241HD transfer case
Dana 80 limited slip rear, Dana 60 front, 4.10 gears
2" leveling kit
DT Profab extended link arms
Toyo Open Country M/T 315/75R16s on 16x8 wheels
Now it just needs a few mild bombs. Thinking #11 torque plate, 3k GSK, and a 4" exhaust somewhere down the road. I'll probably add some Billstein 5100s in the near future and an adjustable track bar when it comes time to replace the stock one, too.
Yea. But I can go from 0-60mph faster.:haha:Lucky Jeff said:If you were to get rid of that and get a 2wd cummins.. you'd get 2 mpg better
