With a notch like that in the frame you should tube the whole front to make it a ridgid unit. Or you could just web wheel it like it is and be like Paulie.:haha:

i would mount it as high as possible so rocks and stuff cant get to it.

Id put high steer arms on it and toss the tierod on top of the arms, you can run your ram from the top of the center section to the tierod in between the springs. you might have clearance issues with the tierod and frame at full up travel. might have to notch again.

You never want a hydro ram mounted to the tie rod anywhere but right near the end's. It will then double as a hydraulic tie rod bender.
