full hydro - havent decided how I'm going to set it up yet. I could run it like lincolnlock does below the springs, or I could cram a single ended ram above the springs.

If I can fit the ram up there I will try. my last axle had the tie rod below and it was a magnet for anything on the ground.

Id put high steer arms on it and toss the tierod on top of the arms, you can run your ram from the top of the center section to the tierod in between the springs. you might have clearance issues with the tierod and frame at full up travel. might have to notch again.

This is what I want to do. I narrowed the long side 4.5" so I'm a little concerned with fitting the ram in there. I know I dont want to weld to the cast center section, maybe off the diff cover.

You never want a hydro ram mounted to the tie rod anywhere but right near the end's. It will then double as a hydraulic tie rod bender.
