85 b2 build

it started out as a $300 b2 i got from my auto tech school way back when threw on some 31 12.50's

wheeled it like that for about a year then i got these for $400 counldent turn them down

lol well i took it out one more time and this happend lol

well my birthday came around and i got a new present a winch so i needed a new bumper so came up with this

bought a trailer for it after i got my axles installed
$100 boat trailer + 150 worth of steel to strenthen it up

got it getto riged for tahuya before my buddie move to iowa lol

well i shot a spring right thru the gas tank so it came home:eeek:

well started having issues with the electrical lol all that water was not good lol so guess what

and all that tfi ford crap lol gone got some goodies

started laying out my new dash lol

built a new rear bumper o yeah like those long shackles lol well i did wheel like that but after last time out first time in a year about a month ago i de arched my springs so got some new springs

decided to re do my shock towers and coil buckets

so after wheeling with 3.50 gears and blowing the rear
i was trying to decide weather to do a doubler or gears and rebuild axle well first i decided to rebuild my axles
so totaly rebuilt front and rear you know new spindles bearing ball joints u joints rotors/drums calipers pads hardware spool rear 4.88 gears
Thanks again johnny aka cascade crawler for helping me find what i needed lol aka spindles :awesomework: anyways i can prob find some picts of the gear process but na so anyways so then my bro in law was like hey i got a bunch of 2x2 250 wall and 2x2 120 wall square and rectangular steel that i could have for freeeeeeeeee::masturbanana[1]: lol so who could turn that down so you can flame me but i made a cage o yes but before you get to see that here is the rti at 4wp in lyn after i got my gears done

o yeah that jerry can was my gas tank for a lil while its got fitting brazed to it

so once again i could not leave it alone so i choped the top and did part of the cage

lol took it up to the property to clear and pull stumps to get ready for the 30/60 2 story shop 1300 square foot apartment upstairs
anyways here is some from that weekend

put some different springs on moved the axle back 6 inces expecting something lol just wait and see o and finished the cage

well ok maby i'll give you a hint but first some wheeling picts

i was to go wheeling on a sunday and had my clutch just sheer off all the material in the middle of highway 9 that friday lol

cant remember who he was but was out with cascade crawler and them boys

not enough clearance
but thats taken care of now i got 36" iroks
welll thats all the picts i have now i will take some more tommorow and update lol in the works aka thinkgs to finish dovetailed the rear building my own fuel cell got kinda a unique design for it so no matter what i should not run out of gas,
Shocks in the rear, bump stops, duel case shift lever o yeah i insalled duel cases new fuel line, prob some other stuff but its late lol so let the flamine and heckling begin :flipoff:

lol so let me start off by laying down the specs now that i'm not half asleep lol i dont even remember half of what i put up last night lol :looser:

so its a 85 bronco 2 with the stock 2.8l v6 with only 85k on it so i'll start with the upgrades
[2150 carb upgrade with duraspark conversion sealed ignition system

• 2150 carb uprgade with duraspark conversion sealed ignition system
• for 9" and dana 44 hi pinion out of a 79 for bronco
• 4.88 gears with a spool rear
• some beffier springs alright i'll admit maby some chevy's rear lol they were cheep
• stock radius arms front
• 2x2 cage
• push button start and custom electrical
• 1350/1350 double and a five speed fm 145
• 36"x1350x15 bias iroks on early jeep wheels

ok so here is the plan a list of things i gots to finish before i wheel next

• shift linkage for doubler
• fuel cell and new fuel lines
• rear shocks
• belly pan
• brake light so i'm not havin people play tag on the trail tho it is fun
• tighty up electrical
• secure front fender
• finish dove tail
• secure brake lines

and lastly unless you guys can talk me into something different things to do after first of year or there about

• 5points and seats
• cromoly front axleshafts
• heavy duty d shafts and u joints
• front locker

well got the trans cases into place and started building my cross member/ belly pan support tonight waitin to get my welder back but i still got my plasma so i can keep going with fabbing the rest of the trans case cross member

ok so got a lot done today but first whats that i hear ?????? silence lol you guys are a quiet bunch suprising lol j/k :stirpot:

so i got the transfer case mount done i used a motor mount from my secret source lol i think i can just use one but what do you guys think

so the next thing i did was build my duel case shifter and linkage i'm still not for sure what i'm gonna do for a final shifter but untill i get a bender or some seats i dont wanna do anything too permanent but i had the piston and rod lying around so i thought it would be cool

so then the next thing i did was finish a lil more on the back of my cage still trying to decide weather i like the body but since none of you have taken the poll :fawkdancesmiley: lol i'l leave it but anyways did some more triangulation

then finaly the last thing was i almost finished the trans cross member/ belly pan support

i'll take some more of it when i pull it out tommorow to do the welding and plugging the ends

what time i'm gonna try to make it but no garentee's but it would be better so i know at least someone lol who all is going i got to do my gas tank rear shocks finish welding and front driveshaft but i should be able to nock that out i kinda wanna wait on my shouck tho till i know the flex on the rear and sense i have no access to a rti well what better way to test it out lol dont make me throw my jerry tank in lol :redneck:

so i went home today for lunch and nocked out my front drive shaft so thats all figured out the front and rear shaft are the same length wich is awsome didnt even plan that ... i mean i knew that all along
so tonight i'm gonna try and nock out all the welding and shocks maby gas tank

so just came in for some dinner yes i know its 1030 but o well lol anyways heres the update transfer case support finished/ welded all up, rear cage finished welded fender tubeing roll halfway done just have to weld them to the body i should have the shock placement done here in about half an hour back to work i go

well was up to the wee mornight hours worked till about 12:30 1 lol got the shocks figured out hey chris are you running with the buggies o and i will get you a disc this weekend ? who all from your work is going
