Air Shock/Front Suspension Redesign Tech

I am no longer a vendor on Pirate ($250 ), but I am an Amsoil dealer. If you want something, I will sell it to you for my cost.
I am going to try the tractor hydraulic fluid in my pump this week.

Thanks for the idea nolen, I looked at that tape and will pick some up for sho now that I heard good feedback about it. I am gonna start with some easy heat reduction stuff first like adding a shifter boot ;D Basically try and seal off all the open areas between the engine/drivetrain and cab.

I added Redline Syn Power Steering fluid when I added the new ram. The steering pump howls no matter what when you go full lock in either direction. Has since day 1. When you start working it hard on an obstacle it really hates life. I have talked to PSC about this and they told me it is a problem with the aluminum housing Howe puts on their pumps. PSC said if I send my old TC pump to them they will basically swap it out for a steel housing pump with new internals for $80. Not a bad deal IMO. I am going to pull that this week, then I am off to the beach next week for some R&R.

Another thing I noticed was that my front air shocks were hating life. Buggy never ran hot, but we were moving all day with out many stops, lots of low speed techincal crawling and 95 degrees outside. On the ride out of the trails the whole damn buggy was so hot and the front shocks were howling everytime they moved. A 2.0 Remote Ressy coilover would help a lot, but no monies for that. Just thought it was interesting how the air shocks got so hot they started making noises on compression.

I have never heard of air shocks making noise. That is way odd.

I think your buggy is a little much for 2.0 airshocks in the front.

Agreed, coilovers would be the best choice. Look into Radflo. I really like my Radflo bumps.
