So after talking with Karl for a brief moment about BB's it has me wondering since i'm dismounting my tires soon to change rims style, i need to have them rebalanced, just to take them off again if someone buys them after my naches trip (gonna keep them until then i think) I have 36x13.5x15 IROKs Would they be ok onthe road with BB's in them. I have them balanced now and they drive near perfect, even at 80mph:D but i'm just wanting to make sure before i get a million bb's and find out they're wobbly all the way to naches. any advice or sites that show the proper amount or alternatives to this.

I've got some in 36x12.5 tsl with BB's in them (customer rig) he has no complaints other than the Bias blues. Nothing like that thump, thump, thump going to work early in the morning.

are they noisy? i mean, can you hear the bb's rolling around in there, at low speeds or high speeds?

At high speeds, no.

At low speeds (less than 5 mph) you can hear them tinking around in there. And when you come to a stop you can hear them lose thier centrifual force, and they fall onto the rim.

I just tell people it's the blow off valve for my turbo. :eeek:

nice, like at Big 5 or something??? might have to swing by on the way home tonight...

Big 5, walmart, Joes, etc......

I bought a jug of bb's about the size of a heinken keg can. And I only used half of them for my tires.

10oz of bb's is about an eigth of a ziplock sandwich baggie.

I have been running the plastic BB's since I put 35's on.
They are perfect, no issues.
I have had the sami up to 70 ish (low gears) no problems.
Very little noice at a roll other than that nothing.
Put my T-case gears make enough noice I would not know the differance :D
I will never go back to weights (unless I have an issue with the rims/tires) caused by the BB's. But I have never heard of that.

Use the air soft BB's they won't rust and corrode over time. Airring up and down will exspose the metal BB's to moisture and they will rust up a make a mess.

no they wont....had bbs in my tirees for years with very moist air and zero rust or clumping...best thing for a big tire that changes air pressure a lot.

you will never go back to lead.

ohh i run 39.5 iroks and the jeep will do 80 no problem smooth....

Well I don't have first hand experience. That's just what I heard when I was doing searches about this type of balancing. That's why I went with the air soft BB's.

Learned something new.

Where and how much $ and how much weight for the airsoft bbs?

just bought some #4 lead shot, and threw 10oz in my 37" MTRs. hope these will ride smoother than my 33" bias ply TSLs
