Sounds like a plan. That's basically what I did when I moved the stock tank up and haven't had any issues.

Brake lines... brake lines....
Am I wacky for thinking I might want a brake line running to the rear of the rig for each rear wheel? My plan is to completely re-do all the rusted, cobbled together brake lines on the rig. I want to split the rear line off the master cylinder, run two lines to the rear, with a line lock on each side plumbed in, and wired together on one switch for now. This would make it super easy to add cutting brakes in the future, or simply use each line lock individually, should I ever have something other than a spool in the rear.
On top of that, I'd like a little extra insurance to keep the rig from rolling away... if one line lock happens to fail, the brakes will still be held on the other wheel.
Of course I will still have a line lock for the front... or a ball valve or some other mechanical method of keeping the brake pressure.
And the front... is it ok to run ONE soft line to the axle (one line from the MC), then run hard line to each side and then soft line to the calipers off the housing, as long as the soft lines have enough play in them to account for turning?

I put one main brake line to each axle then "T"ed on the axle out to each brake caliper I put flex line at each flex point and hardline in between. I put a line lock into each main line and I added one Proportioning Valve to the rear brakes.

I think he should stay shackle forward, and keep the rear mounts(plate them up) and run waggy springs, That should work awesome, then I could test out his old yj springs on my mj, although mine work pretty damn good. moving his axle forward abit he will beable to keep the front driveline also. room for nice big tires, and longer WB, should be sweet, I want him to get to the hydro steering, I'm just going assist.
Plus matt, if you go shackle reversal it would be pointless to notch to frame for the rear frame side leaf mounts, right now, the leaf mount is up higher than it would be if you went shackle rear.

I don't really want to re-use/reinforce the factory spring mounts. 
I'd rather take the time and build my own.
Anyone have a measurement eye to eye for waggy springs... off the top of their head?

Why did you cut the shock mounts off?
The axle is moving forward a few inches.
so did this die off? u find a 4runner instead? that what im looking for now. and thinking about coils/links in the rear..
as far as brake lines go..that'll work. u think the short lines for a SD rear disc would be long enough?
It's sitting just about how the last pic shows... except I moved it to the other side of the garage. I just haven't had the time/money/motivation to work on it lately. I got side-tracked with a 4runner project that I think I am going to sell now, and concentrate on this.
I feel like Rich... lol.
